Michael P. Delaney Attorney at Law

I hired Michael Delaney 2 years ago for what was supoosed to be an easy custody case as the other party was ready to give me custody.
I paid him $2,100 and it was agreed that he would only ask for more money if we ended up fighting in court over a custody battle.
Mr. delaney filed the paperwork asking for child support and attorney fees which I specifically asked him NOT to do. This was not a custody case where both parties were parents. I believe he did this to upset the other party so we would end up fighting in court and more money for him!
He refused to re write the paperwork and told me that we needed to go get a default judgement against the other party or he would ask for more money..... The other party was not in default yet. I was scared and did as he asked and then got a default judgement thrown out of court because it was premature (a week too early). Then he asked for more money!
I was never able to get abold of delaney after I gave him his first check... He lied to me about everything....
I did not give him more money because he already went against our first contract and lied to me.
The worst mistake I ever made was hiring this man to represent me.... There is so much more but I just dont have the energy to say it.
I wish I had looked up his reviews prior to hiring him.
