Review: I call the office asking about the price of pulling out a tooth. I was told that the price vary so I should come and they going to do the consultation for free and if I agree they will follow up. After I got the price 431 dollar I just walk out. The next day I got a bill for 80 dollars. It is a scam. I won't pay!!!!!Desired Settlement: Well, just let people know they are ruthless money making business people not a doctors!!!!

Mr. [redacted] did call to inquire what the cost of an extraction would be. I let him know I could not answer that with out the Doctor seeing him, but the range would be between $250 and $450, and the specialist (Dr. [redacted]) would be in our office the following Thursday for a consultation, but that we would need an x-ray before he could give him an estimate. He said he had just had an x-ray taken at another dentists office and would have it sent to our office. Mr. [redacted] presented to our office where he was seen by Dr. [redacted] for an exam. The tooth that was bothering him was not the same tooth as the x-ray we received from his previous dentist. We explained this to Mr. [redacted] and told him we needed to take an x-ray, he agreed. Dr. [redacted] (not Dr. Copp)discussed that large decay is present on tooth #17 and a surgical extraction would be needed the cost being $351. The patient said he could get it done for cheaper elsewhere, took his bib off and walked out of the office.

Dr. [redacted] does offer a no cost consultation for patients of record with Dr. Copp. Mr. [redacted] is not a patient of record with Dr. Copp so we would normally charge for the examination He also had an x-ray which is $30.

I am sure there was a miscomunication with the patient. I wish he would have called our office with his complaint, as we are NOT money grabbing people but caring dentists and treat our patients with the utmost respect, but do want to get paid for the services we provide. We will be willing to write off the whole balance and hope he gets his tooth taken care of as soon as possible.
