Michael A. Miglioretti

Review: My a/c needed replaced (the original unit was installed in 1998) so I was given Mr. Miglioretti's name by a friend. He and another man named [redacted] came to my home on 7/24/14 and installed a new split system a/c unit - however, neither of them EVER inspected the copper lines or the condenser coils from the original unit. When Mr. Miglioretti and [redacted]eft on 7/24/14, they said to give the new unit a few hours to cool the house - THIS NEVER HAPPENED! At times the unit ran constantly, but the temperature inside the house continued to raise. On one day it was 86 and my elderly mother who lives with me was getting sick from the heat. I contacted Mr. Miglioretti again and he[redacted] came by and determined they "thought there was a leak in the condenser coils" - they left saying they needed to get a leak detector and would return - they have never come back! I have made repeated phone calls and sent multiple texts - all to no avail. I contacted another HVAC expert and was told he does not want to get involved in this matter, however, he would never have installed a new split system a/c unit without replacing the copper lines and condenser coils. I was also informed by this HVAC expert that the new 1.5 ton unit installed by Mr. Miglioretti is too small for the size of my home! I contacted the Revdex.com on 8/18/14 and was told Mr. Miglioretti's contractors license expired in March of 2013.Desired Settlement: I have asked Mr. Miglioretti to remove the unit he installed and refund my money, but he refuses to respond. I am now out $1600 dollars and have no a/c!
