Dear Ms [redacted]:This is in regards to the customer concern submitted by [redacted] on 5/15 (id [redacted]).As we are required by the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we could not respond until we received his consent. We did receive that today. On April 20, [redacted] filed a...
financial appeal for his account balance stating that he should not pay because he requested Financial Aid and it was not received as requested. The appeal was denied because he did, in fact, attend the courses and he was responsible for them. We did; however, change his campus to a regional campus to alleviate some of the financial burden. (The refund schedule is posted in our Student Handbook as well as on our One Stop — student- website).Today, I had further correspondence with [redacted]. I advised him that the requests that we received for Financial Aid were made for next semester, not the current one. He said (although does not have the documentation) that he requested it for this year and was under that assumption that he would receive it.Because of the obvious communication issue, we felt that it was best if we disburse a grant to [redacted] to clear his balance. To date, he no longer has the outstanding balance. Please let me know if you have any further questions.Sincerely,Kristine C[redacted] Bursar
