agent response: On Friday Oct 7th 2016, Ms [redacted] was transferred to me after being pre-qualified. I help individuals purchase various insurance products, from health to dental, vision, accident, critical illness and life insurance. I am licensed to sell insurance in Georgia...
and over 15 other states. Most clients purchase health, dental, vision and supplemental insurance to help protect them physically and financially. Ms [redacted]’s complaint indicates financial trouble and desire to lower costs. Insurance premiums are based off of household size and income, I input information as given by the customer. Ms [redacted] can call healthcare.gov and work with customer service to show proof of lower income to get a lower payment. All supplemental products are separate from the health plan. I was very clear with Ms [redacted] that the plans are all separate and independent from one another. She can keep or cancel any plans at anytime by calling customer service. Her complaint says that she called 14 times, I have no record of those calls. I check my emails and voicemails multiple times per day. The last note I show is from her call on May 1st, which I promptly returned the same day. I gave her the contact numbers to cancel her plans.Customer service is very important to the success of my business and I take it very seriously. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help, [redacted]

supplemental insurance, dental, and vision. The cost was $84.19 per month billed from Chesapeake / Surebridge, not "an additional $500" as stated in Mr [redacted]'s complaint. The insurance carrier provides data as to in-network doctors, we use their online resources to check in-network versus out-of-network, but we cannot control which doctors take which insurance. We have noticed less doctors taking marketplace ACA plans. Our agents respond promptly to customer calls, notes do not show any contact via voice mail nor email from Mr [redacted] or Ms [redacted]. The Market Place Ask For My And My Wife's Income They Did Not Process It On There End In Time And Did End My Wife's Subsidies We Called And They Were Given Back This Has Nothing To Do With MHP Ins. Thieves and Liars! I too was contacted by an MHP rep while filling out the healthcare.gov app. He gave me a quote with coverage deductibles and co-pays to a "T", to a blue cross blue shield policy which is what I rec'd. Thing is, he insisted I put it on a credit card and not my bank account. I recently contacted blue cross to change billing to my bank account to save interest fees. Surprise!, due to my income, my premiums are 0 dollars, free. When I was asked by the MHP rep if I was interested in any supplemental ins. to which I replied absolutely NOT as I am on a fixed income. Healthcare.gov will NEVER ask for money up front. Innocent people are being deceived. I am currently contacting governmental and other agencies and reporting this. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
Review: I went online to healthcare.gov for insurance on 11/30 and as soon as I entered my phone # received a call from a women who transferred me to a broker [redacted].
questioned him if this would cost me anything and didn't really receive a response
he asked personal questions including SS# and checking acct. #
stated he signed me up for UHC insurance and the premium would be $396 monthly
mentioned something about disability insurance and I responded that might be something I would be interested
in.
told me I would receive the materials in 7-10 business days
sent me email confirmation
reviewed my bank statement on line on 12/4 and found a payment to time insurance for $119 and another fee of $19
I never approved this.
I called and left a message in the am 12/4 and sent an email. I tried calling again after 2 pm.
I went to my bank and they told me to contact the bank's customer service to stop future withdrawals from time insurance
contacted healthcare.gov to complain and they gave me phone # for UHC. my monthly premium is only
$265.10 not $396
I had health care.gov take the brokers name off my account
UHC stated my premium was paid 11/30 in the amount of $265 not $265.10
I still need to contact my banks customer service to stop future withdrawals for time insuranceDesired Settlement: they need to be stopped from false sales practices, not disclosing all the information, not responding to attempts to contact them. they should be shut down

On Nov 30th, 2015 Ms [redacted] was transfer to one of our licensed agent. On all calls we offer health, dental, vision, supplemental accident and critical illness. Notes indicate that Ms [redacted] purchased supplemental insurance to help protect against owing a deductible. The Critical Illness Supplemental was in place in the event of major illness, like heart attack, stroke, cancer, and the Accident Expense coverage was in place in the event of major accident, Ms [redacted] would have receive a lump sum benefit to help cover her deductible, co-insurance, medications, and other out of pocket expenses. The supplemental plans have been canceled and monthly premium lowered accordingly.

They did not fully explain what was involved and I did not know what I was agreeing to. All I said was that the other insurance I might consider. Then they removed the amt. from my account for 2 different supplements. I have been unable to contact them per phone or email. My bank returned the amount to me not them.

Review: I recently opened up a policy for Blue Cross Blue Shield through this business. The policy was for $80.00 and the payment was to be in two separate charges on my account. The first went though, but the second did not. I called this business over 15 times and left a message with absolutely no response. I called Blue Cross Blue Shield to see if they could help me make the second payment and they have never heard of this business at all. The woman on the other line with Blue Cross said she had never heard of them. My policy is only for $20.30 a moth with them. I am being scammed out of $60.00 a month for absolutely nothing. my health insurance is the second charge that never went through, the first charge was not for insurance, it was just a charge. I was charged that money for absolutely nothing. These people are frauds, I have blocked their payments on my card and they will not receive another penny from me. These people need to be investigated and I strongly warn anyone looking into buying health insurance not to be conned by these thieves.Desired Settlement: No further attempts to charge me for nothing, being that I thought I was paying them for insurance but they do not provide insurance they simply outsource you and collect money every month for no reason at all.

On Tuesday Jan 12th, 2016 Ms [redacted] was transferred to one of our agents after being pre-qualified as to her desire to purchase various insurance products. We help customers with health, dental, vision, accident, hospitalization supplemental and life insurance. The agent helped Ms [redacted] purchase health insurance and supplemental hospitalization insurance. All products and costs were agreed upon by the agent and customer prior to purchase. The complaint indicates that Ms [redacted] cancelled her supplemental (and is now at risk of owning deductibles and coinsurance costs in the event of critical illness or major accident) and now has her remaining health insurance for approximately $20.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.I never asked for supplemental insurance and was never sent an email confirming any insurance other than the one from blue cross, which is why I thought I was being scammed. I then calIed repeatedly over the course of a week with no response. That just made me feel even more sure I was scammed because what business would treat a person this way after getting their money? I am happy not to understand the problem, and I am sorry that it had to come to submitting a complaint for someone to actually care to take the time to help me and call back. I am happy with my plan now, the way I have it now is the way I understood it to be because the only thing I asked for was an insurance plan as affordable as possible, nothing more. Other than not being called back and not being sent any other confirmation emails except for the blue cross policy, [redacted] was very helpful and I am pleased now that I understand and have been called back. I have never had to submit something like this to get a call back, and I'm sorry I had to do it- but I am very poor and I cannot spare money, especially when I cannot see where it is going. It's just been a big misunderstanding all the way around and I'm glad it's over.

Review: I was contacted by MHP representative named [redacted] extension [redacted]. When I had inquired about health insurance online. He assisted in finding an insurance plan for me with Molina Healthcare marketplace. I have been in contact with Molina ever since with any questions and concerns about my policy. Recently I have noticed that there are two insurance charges that are being deducted from my account. One from Molina Healthcare (which I expected) and a questionable one from Time Insurance. I have never received in the mail/email/phone call any information about Time Insurance or remember signing up with them. I have attempted several times to contact my MHP insurance agent [redacted], but every time I have called there is no answer. I have left messages and no returned calls. Every time I have attempted to call MHP Insurance to speak to ANY other agents no one is ever available and I am directed to a voicemail system that never produced any results.Desired Settlement: I would like to hear back from anyone in the company, preferably [redacted] whom I initially spoke with. I'm beginning to think this company does not exist and this Time Insurance charges are fraudulent and there's no way of knowing or stopping it. the phone number that was given to me was [redacted] with the extension #[redacted] for agent [redacted]. Please help me in getting in contact with anyone from this organization.

Dear Revdex.com,
Review: I supposedly signed up for health care insurance with Assurant Insurance with a representative from MHP Insurance, I have yet to receive anything in the mail or a email with any info regarding my so called health insurance. They immediately took a payment of $88 out my account after I signed up! Every tinebi try to get in contact with either the insurance company or the representative the phone rings once and it goes to an automated voice message and asked to out your Rep extension in if you know but it always goes straight to voicemail. Even when I try to stay on the line to speak with another representative it goes to another automated message and says No one is available please a message! I called every day since I signed up and nothing happens! I don't want them taking $88 from me every month and the soncslled insurance is a scam! I will be highly upset!Desired Settlement: I want the so called insurance I supposed to signed up for canceled and I and account closed. I will also like my money refunded to me!

Review: I purchased insurance through this company in April of 2015. We were assured we had nothing else to complete or file for our health insurance coverage to take effect. On September 1, 2015 our Health insurance policy was revoked due to "inconsistencies in the Health Insurance Marketplace" I did not have a file with the market place and I had no idea what had happend or that we didnt supply all the information that we needed. I have reached out to them several times but they have never responded. I want to know why my insurance was canceled and that now we are having to pay for a pregnancy out of pocket because we do not have insurance. We would have gladly supplied the information that was needed but we did not know that there was any information lacking in our case. I felt wronged that this company does not check back in its clients cases to make sure that they are complete and do not need any additional information. They lead us with false confidence that we were covered and that we did not need to worry about our health insurance.Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation of what happened and if the company is taking steps to prevent this from happening again. I would like to know if the agent is still on duty and if they have done anything to improve the quality of their service. No one who purchases health insurance through a company like this should worry about their health insurance being dropped. I would like to be contacted and have someone explain to me why this happened. Because of the inadequacy and irresponsibility of this company we are having to pay thousands of dollars for health care out of pocket.

Response:
The complaint states that an agent with MHP Insurance Solutions LLC helped the customer apply for health coverage and that the customer successfully had coverage for 6 months. Then, the customer lost coverage for “inconsistencies in the Health Insurance Marketplace". The Marketplace is run by the federal government, and often they will ask for proof of identity, proof of income, proof of citizenship, or other personal details. It is the customer's responsibility to provide the necessary documentation to the Marketplace. At MHP Insurance, and as the customer's agent we cannot provide personal documents or facilitate that process. The agent in question. [redacted], is no longer with MHP Insurance Solutions LLC.
Review: I was scammed into purchasing two additional insurance policies from MHP Insurance Solutions. In October 2014, the MHP agent ([redacted]) called me immediately after I filled out an online form looking for medical health coverage under the affordable healthcare law for my daughter. I thought MHP was a legitimate company associated with the healthcare.gov site. Mr. [redacted] was very helpful in general, but after he told me what the rates and federal discounts would be, he told me that my daughter would only get the discounts if she also purchased a critical illness policy and a dental policy. I told him she did not need those policies and could not afford them, but he again said that she could not get the discounts without also purchasing these policies. He said she would have to pay a much higher rate if she only bought the medical policy and it would end up costing more than if she bought all three policies together. I asked, wasn’t there any other way, and he insisted it was the only way. I asked about other ways to only buy the medical policy on at least two different phone calls, but still got the same answer. So I ended up signing up for all three policies. (The extra 2 policies cost $78.17/month for 10 months)
After talking with a friend, who said this all sounded strange, on August 20, 2015, I called the 800 number on the healthcare.gov site and found out that my daughter was not required to buy the other two policies to get the federal discounts that she has and that she can cancel those other policies at any time and it does not affect her medical coverage or discounts (and she did immediately cancel them).
In the past month and a half, I called MHP Insurance at least 5 times about other concerns, could not talk to a person and left messages for an agent to call me back. No one has called.Desired Settlement: Somehow, this company should not be allowed to scam other people the way I got scammed.
I certainly want everyone to know how dishonest this company is.
A refund of all the premiums would be in order.
