Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The contractor never responded quickly to any of my concerns starting from the beginning of the project Each time I make a suggestion or request for something to be done a certain way he would keep the workers away for days sometimes weeks A key to my home was always left for the contractor to have access to work on the project so as to complete it in the given timeI was told by Sahil S [redacted] of Metropolitan Home Improvements that the project will take six to eight weeks to be completed from the start date which was April **, To date, approximately fifty percent of the work was done but not completed and we are in the tenth month since the project started.May, I went away for approximately three weeks at which time the contractor had access to the work site as always I returned in the first week of June, and was told by Sahil S [redacted] that I need to go and look for the materials because he is starting a big job and would be off my project for two months which he did, even though I was not in agreement - his project manager also told me they would be starting a big job somewhere elseThey all stayed away despite my repeated callsAll of Summer I was home and did not leave the country until the end of November, to attend a funeral and returned December *, even so, this was way after this project was supposed to be completed but still the contractor had access to work on the project whether I am at work or out of the countryNever have I not allowed workers to enter my homeFrom day I gave the contractor a key to the door which they left in a place where himself or anyone of the workers could have access After I made the first complaint to Revdex.com, Sahil S [redacted] came to my home when no work was being done, desperately suggested that he would give me a screen door if I should write a letter to Revdex.com saying he responded and corrected my concern which was false, and I refused to write the letter I told him then that I would call the Police if he does not leave the premises because he was shouting and acting unstable In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***
As a reputable, well known company never having any complaints I would like to say that I am upset the way this client is putting full blame on delays of this project completion all on my companyTheir were many reasons for delays in this specific project as the customer wanted specific materials and color schemes and did not make decisions in a timely manner delaying the project many steps of the way till this very day For instance, the client went to a showroom to select materials and I than placed the orders based on her requests however, when all the materials came in she changed her mind and this caused a delay in the project as she was not happy with HER OWN selections (which is not my fault) Other instances that caused delays were requests by the client to do additional services that were not agreed upon in the original contract that had large costs involved Customer had poor communication habits as well and I truly believe the reason for this complaint is for her to get me to do extra work (costly work !) that was not part of the agreement for free Large projects usually have some sort of unforeseen circumstances that can potentially cause delays as we always explain to our clients however, the customer is not being reasonable or fair When a client chooses materials and constantly changes their mind (not 1-days later but rather taking more than a week to get a response) after leaving several voice mails and text messages, this causes significant delays We are working diligently with the homeowner to resolve her concerns On a side note I have done many additions to her original contract at no additional cost to accommodate however, There is only so much I can do outside of the parameters of the original contract without additional funds from the client and at this point our goal is to complete the project and provide the homeowner with what was agreed upon Fairness is not an attitude but rather a professional skill that must be developed and exercised and I believe this client is not being fair at all
I have responded quickly to this customers concern as the project has been completed however, the client still chooses to not work with me and is causing more delays for her own project to be finalized With my attempts to communicate and satisfy the CONTRACTED work agreed upon, the customer does not communicate effectively or allow me to speak with her in a reasonable manner and is delaying the final walk through I require when a project is finished We have tried to contact to *** *** as I am trying to do a final walk through involving my company addressing any final concerns she may have in reference to the contracted work agreed upon (not for additional work to be done that was NOT agreed upon), however her response is usually that she will get back to me and again more time passes causing more delays keeping in mind she is the one that is complaining about the project taking to long to complete. Another delay I will note is that she had went away for weeks during this Thanksgiving holiday, which did not help us complete the project. I will again note as I did in the first response that she had also left the country for approximately month during the summer and this again caused serious delays as material selections could not be made without the customer at his stage of the project, and I needed the customer to make decisions (sign off/select materials) as she has a very particular taste. My sincere response to the delay is that the customer has time to go away for weeks instead of devoting some time to help my workers and myself by making final necessary decisions in effort complete and finish the project. I must also mention that the customer sporadically did not allow workers to enter the home when they were scheduled/suppose to be working (with her prior knowledge) on her project, which also caused delays in the project.I have done many projects here in NY and many satisfied customers and must say, I never had had an experience such as this before I never claim to be perfect however; my company and myself are perfectly responsible and always strive to satisfy all our clients as we did for *** ***I will now address Hazel Small’s concern about wasting money unnecessarily by having to purchase food from outside sources due to the project not being completed yet. If this was so important to her that she must include in her complaint, than why has the client STILL TO THIS DAY not purchased a stove or a refrigerator for her home? As per contract, the client understood that appliances were not included (Refrigerator & stove) and that she had to supply the appliances for my company to install however, she has NOT purchased them yet. I would have been more than obliged to install the stove and refrigerator providing her a means to cook and refrigerate anything she pleases, but she did not ask for thisAs stated in the previous response, this project took longer than expected due to the fact that the client delayed the process in several ways, and I shall elaborate as I also took the time to do on the previous response. For example, we painted a room the color that Hazel Small CHOOSE, she then decided, it was not to her liking and out of the kindness of my heart and my professionalism, I had the room re-painted a different color SHE choose again which caused delays in the project (without asking for ANY additional funds) Then I will discuss a special molding the customers choose for her ceiling (again SHE CHOOSE this item which was NOT part of the contract we agreed upon) that we installed (at my own expense). Once the item was purchased and installed (which Hazel Small choose), we had to take it down and go buy a different item that she preferred, which we did and again & this caused more delays in the project Another item of concern not mentioned by the customer is that additional work (not part of the contract/ not agreed upon) was done involving the moving and relocating of a pipe that I also had done as a courtesy for the customer in effort to satisfy her (again, at my own expense). Not to mention we also purchased additional items for her not in contract. This is another way to display that I always want to go above and beyond to satisfy a client, even if it affects my profitability, which was well below the average contractors earnings on a project of this sizeIn regards to the work to be done on the 2nd floor we had initially signed a contract that included work done to it (as per original contract) however, *** *** than decided to take out that project because the price was over her budget. The initial contract amount was for $114,(which we both have copies of) for her complete project encompassing her own occupied portion of the home (her apartment) along with work to be done on the 2nd floor of the home. After taking out (*amending the original contract) the work to be done upstairs (2nd floor) because *** *** had decided not to do it anymore; we made an addendum to the original contract (as per *** ***’s desire) involving doing additional work entailing the demo of her own living room and having it re-done (as indicated in the amended 2nd contract signed and dated by *** *** on 02/**/2016- work was completed), the total cost of the project had than changed to $108,625. She was and is well aware of this agreement that was made which was enforced with a signed and dated contract. As a small business owner, I am very upset with the way our client has been treating me and causing nothing but unnecessary disrespect to the workers (verbally) and always yelling and trying to dictate to myself or any of the other professionals, how the work should be done. At this point, I have both the initial contract and the amended contract signed by Hazel Small stating and entailing the changes, which she is clearly aware of. I take my business very serious and I feel this client is attempting to ploy my company deliberately by making accusations on my own or my company’s behalf. If only one was to see the work that was completed at this home they would realize that the customer is acting in a malicious manner. I always like the motto that the customer is right however, in this instance, Hazel Small is wrong for what she is doingI apologize for the lengthy response but I would hope one would understand much better after having all the details and seeing how much I care about my company and it's reputation. -Sahil S

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The contractor never responded quickly to any of my concerns starting from the beginning of the project. Each time I make a suggestion or request for something to be done a certain way he would keep the workers away for days sometimes weeks. A key to my home was always left for the contractor to have access to work on the project so as to complete it in the given time. I was told by Sahil S[redacted] of Metropolitan Home Improvements that the project will take six to eight weeks to be completed from the start date which was April **, 2016. They all stayed away despite my repeated calls. All of Summer I was home and did not leave the country until the end of November, 2016 to attend a funeral and returned December *, 2016 even so, this was way after this project was supposed to be completed but still the contractor had access to work on the project whether I am at work or out of the country. Never have I not allowed workers to enter my home. From day I gave the contractor a key to the door which they left in a place where himself or anyone of the workers could have access. After I made the first complaint to Revdex.com, Sahil S[redacted] came to my home when no work was being done, desperately suggested that he would give me a screen door if I should write a letter to Revdex.com saying he responded and corrected my concern which was false, and I refused to write the letter. Their were many reasons for delays in this specific project as the customer wanted specific materials...

Customer had poor communication habits as well and I truly believe the reason for this complaint is for her to get me to do extra work (costly work !) that was not part of the agreement for free. Large projects usually have some sort of unforeseen circumstances that can potentially cause delays as we always explain to our clients however, the customer is not being reasonable or fair. When a client chooses materials and constantly changes their mind (not 1-2 days later but rather taking more than a week to get a response) after leaving several voice mails and text messages, this causes significant delays. We are working diligently with the homeowner to resolve her concerns.
