I dropped my car off for repairs on 12/31/19. It is 2/18/20 and, after several conflicting statements, there is still no timetable for completion.
I have took my car to Metropolitan Auto Body and Paint on 12/31/2019 for repairs. I was informed that their shop works with *** very regularly and that, because of this, they would be able to get an estimate and supplement approved by the end of the week (1/4/2020). The General Manager, Charles, said that he would contact me in the next business day or two for an update. I did not ever hear from him. I called on 1/7/2020 to speak with Charles and left a message. He did not return my call. I spoke with a female employee who claimed that the supplementary was approved and that the parts had been ordered.
I called again on 1/16 for another update, and was told that my car was "in body" meaning that they were finishing the work. The male employee also stated that the car would be "in detail" by the middle of next week and that I would be getting a phone call. After not hearing from anyone for several days, I called again on 1/24. I was placed on hold for 17 minutes before I hung up and drove to the shop in person. When I arrived, Charles tells me that my car is "sitting in the shop" because they were waiting on a supplement approval from ***. This is a DIRECT CONTRADICTION to what was told to me on the phone in the previous weeks. They had not even started repairing my car despite communicating otherwise. Charles explains that it is NOT their job to keep me updated on the status of the repair. I was extremely dissatisfied with his standard for customer service.
I contacted the insurance company on 1/27 and they told me that Metropolitan had not even submitted a supplementary request. I have not heard from them in three weeks and I am now submitting a complaint on 2/18/2020.
They need to return my car to me ASAP with no further delays and repaired completely to my satisfaction. They also need to provide frequent updates as to why a simple process has dragged out over nearly two months.
This customer has been kept informed per his Work authorization request Via text. *** uses an automatic system that texts a customer his vehicle moves through the repair process. Time frame on his car is on track after Supplement delays from his insurance. Vehicle is currently done awaiting payment from his insurance. If customer would like to pick up vehicle he can pay the bill and wait to be reimbursed from his insurance.

I have received ZERO text messages from ***. I would love to see proof. I am frustrated with the dishonesty at every step and poor customer service.
I find it interesting that the day I file a complaint is the very day that the car is magically fnished. If the car is finished, where is the "automated text message" stating such.
No magic. All that is required is reading comprehension of my prior response. Vehicle was done, not magically done when you were bellyaching. We are waiting on approval of a supplement by your insurance.
We can offer you 5% off you next repair for this inconvenience.

Your response is evidence of your lack of professionalism, maturity, and customer service. There is no need for futher dialogue, as I will be picking up my car Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.
If there are any issues with the repair, you'll hear from an attorney about it.
