Merry Maids 427

I hired Merry Maids 4 months ago because they seemed trust worth and they guaranteed a professional, consistent and thorough bi weekly clean. From the very first clean, I started having concerns with the level of clean they provided. After the first clean, I came home to tables and end tables that were wiped down with a dry wipe and sticky surfaces remained as they were prior to the start of clean. They applied a furniture oil only half way up the cabinets, the kitchen counter tops were not scrubbed, instead just rushed over. We would have to sweep our kitchen and foyer floors because the were mopped, but all the the crumbs and dirt was pushed under each cabinet or in a corner of the floor. I kindly called reporting my dissatisfaction and they always replied promptly, but when I they came out for a re-clean, they clean was great, as it should have been the first time, then the following week it went back to a quick, half way done job. It would take the team of 2 people under 1 hour to clean our 3 bedroom townhome. After the 5th or 6th clean, I was no longer willing to remain in contract with them, because no matter how much I complained, nothing was resolved. I would never recommend their service to anyone. This my first complaint I have ever publicly going forward with because I don't expect perfection from any business, but Merry Maids has left me completely appalled and extremely disappointing. We also had to pay for our initial plus our last clean since we broke our annual contract and owe them now $324 for TWO cleans that were AWFUL and INCOMPLETE. We feel completely taken advantage of, so buyer beware, my advice is to stay local and go with a company that you have done thorough research on. I was warned about Merry Maids, but the sales person seemed so honest and thorough upon our first meeting.
