Merrimack College

I have left multiple messages and emails for the Bursars office. No response as of filing this complaint. My daughter is a current sophomore at Merrimack College. She was sent home on March 6 for spring break. During the spring break she was informed that the school was now closed. She received an $8,500 Dean scholarship along with a $500 outstanding future warrior scholarship per a semester. The other $30,397.00 is paid for by me. Of that amount, $8,727 is for room and board. Spring break is the halfway point of the semester, so I am curious why the refund is not $4,363.50.
The college issued a Covid-19 refund of $3,598, but then added in $1,494 because of Merrimack aid. So my actual credit is $2,104.

My best friend is the CFO at a prominent university and informed me that this is wrong. He said no other university is subtracting any aid. He said the rebate is clearly from room and board. Her scholarship is purely academic and has nothing to do with housing. I did not sign up for an online university. My daughter had one *** class weekly, but I paid for face to face classes three times a week. I hope you will at least get the courtesy of a call back. I have save my entire life to support my daughters education. What they are doing is deplorable.
