Meridian Wood Products has been one on the most undesirable dealings we have had with any company in many, many years. We met him and his company at the *** to purchase approx. $2000.00 of 6-7" x 8' treated wood posts. The posts he conveniently had on display were excellent, plus he stated he could shipped them to us for $1.00 extra per post which he then retracted when we ordered the posts a few days later. So we then had to hire a driver and truck and trailer, plus us spending 8+hrs of also driving to be at the pickup point *** Yard, then loading and then refusing and having to unload the posts we ordered because of the posts being rotten, dry cracked, split, huge chucks missing, and the WRONG SIZE. Even the Lumber Yard told us confidentially not to take these posts and they were absolutely unusable. We now also understand why Bill E did not answer our previous email about the condition of the posts and also why he did not honor his shipping quote to us because he knew how bad the posts were.
To try to resolve this amicably we suggested Bill E reimburse us only a part of our loss of monies for fuel, driver, truck & trailer. He never responded. Luckily we refused the order at the Lumber Yard and refused to pay. So we again state, PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. All the above is true and we have multiple witnesses.
