This company called me to collect payment for a bill from six months agoI moved and hadn't received the bill, so when I called the individual back (the number had appeared on my caller ID a couple of times in one day, and someone finally left a message explaining he was a debt collector), I explained why I hadn't paid the billI told him that I couldn't pay immediately and that I could pay two weeks from thenHe said that wouldn't work and proceeded to tell me what types of cards he could acceptI repeated that I couldn't pay until later, and he asked if I got paid once a monthI told him no, but that all of my next check was going to rentHe said that I should ask someone if I could borrow the money and told me that I needed to call back the next day by close of business to pay the bill or the balance would appear on my credit reportI told him that I knew my situation and knew that that wasn't possible, but he was in no way willing to work on any type of arrangement
I called the general number back the next day to speak with someone else, but he answeredI hung up, but he called backI explained to him that he was extremely rude and that I didn't want to speak with him and was trying to reach someone elseI told him that he shouldn't be rude to customers, and he said that I was not a customer and that I hadn't paid a bill for six months, implying that I should not be treated with respectHe said that he had simply "suggested" that I try to borrow the money from someone else and accused me of hanging up on himHe didn't apologize for his rude behaviorI understand that debt collectors are just trying to do as their title suggests, but his behavior was unacceptableHe shouldn't be able to talk with people because he is very disrespectful

The male who contacted me was very rude and unprofessional. His attitude was nasty and when I questioned him he got upset, and implied I was lying about the debt amount, bill, letters and not receiving it. I think he should fired because I have never had such a nasty experience with any business in my life. He agreed to send me a copy of the bill that his company "allegedly" sent out before and I "ignored". He threatened to turn the matters over to the court, I was unfazed my his threats so hung up in my face. The matter was handled and resolved using the business who claimed the debt originally. I would advise he learn how to talk to people, because eventually karma catches up with everyone.
