Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: If I would owe $27,minus the inequity then that is what they should offer to buy my vehicle back for Yes it has depreciated, but I was forced to hold on to the vehicle while it was continuing to depreciate since I had no other recourse If they had been willing to work with me early on (which they weren't) then I could have taken a similar offer and the vehicle wouldn't have depreciated They have worked on the vehicle for free, but this isn't a benefit that I'm receiving They are working on it for free because the vehicle was originally brought in with this issue while it was under warranty and they never fixed it after service appointments Even now we do not know that they have found the source of the leak This vehicle has been in and out of the shop for months to address this leak issue, but it has also been in the shop for other issues as well I bought a certified used vehicle because I thought it would actually be certified (which this one obviously wasn't) and I would enjoy all the benefits of owning a "certified" Mercedes Benz Instead, I have been bringing my vehicle in the shop constantly for the entire time I have been forced to hold on to it The only resolution I will accept is a year bumper to bumper warranty extension or a buy back of my vehicle for $27, If I can't get a resolution here then I will turn to consumer advocates with the local news, and any other options that are available to me
YOU SOLD A VEHICLE AS CERTIFIED WHEN YOU NEVER CERTIFIED IT ED W*** THE SERVICE MGR SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT THE RAIN SENSOR SLIPPED PAST THEM HOW DOES SOMETHING THAT IS LISTED ON THE MB WEBSITE AS AN ITEM THAT IS CHECKED DURING CERTIFICATION SLIP PAST THEM How does something "slip past" a certification process?? IT'S EITHER CERTIFIED OR IT ISN'T.Sincerely,*** ***

RE: I.D*** *** * *** Meredes-Benz EVIN: *** Invoice: *** Invoice date: 03/16/June 30, To Whom It May concern: The following statement is in response to the complaint I.D*** filed to the Revdex.com by Mr***On March 16,
Mr*** brought his car to Mercedes-Benz of Seattle to have a fuel leak repairedThe tech discovered diesel fuel was leaking from the top portion of the right side fuel level sender/pump assemblyMr*** was advised that it would need to be replacedThis assembly is accessed by removing the rear seat cushions and exposing the access covers in the floor pan of the vehicleDuring the replacement process, the tech noted residual diesel fuel intrusion thru the access covers and into the area under the rear seatThis condition was a direct result of the fuel leakHe was able to clean most of this diesel residue except for what came into contact with the sound deadening insulation, it was saturated to the point of being ruinedThe tech attempted to order replacement insulation but discovered it was no longer availableOut of concern for the customer's safety and to prevent any further exposure to this hazardous waste, the tech cut out the saturated portion of the insulation and re-installed what was leftWhen Mr*** questioned us about the missing insulation, we explained the concerns with re-installing it in the un-safe condition that it wasThe insulation simply lifts off without any tools so there is no additional convenience in cutting itIn fact it is less convenient to do soWe alsoadvised that the missing insulation did not affect the safety and performance of the vehicle in any wayIt was intended to reduce the amount of ambient road noise heard inside the passenger cabinIn closing, it should be noted that a thorough review of Mr***'s repair was performed by myself and our shop foremanIt was determined the tech performed the repairs in accordance to the factory work instructionsWe found no indication of improper repair procedureThe instructions only outline the replacement procedure for the fuel sender/pump assemblyThey do not include provisions for what to do in case of fuel saturationBased on the specific situation of this failure we did what was deemed to be in the customer's best interestPlease feel free to contact me if there are any further questions
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]
Good Day Ms. [redacted],
We have reviewed the complaint filed from Mr. [redacted] to your organization and wehave the following observations.
The customer purchased the vehicle as a Certified Vehicle on 2/19/2014. The purchase pricewas $34995 plus all applicable taxes. His trade in at that time...
was worth less than what heowed on that vehicle. When Mr. [redacted] purchased his vehicle, he rolled over an inequity of$4573.92 from his trade in then on to his current loan. At present he owes $31754.15 basedon his own estimate. The current value of his vehicle is approximately $23000, based onwhat we can purchase the vehicle for at any auction. He has also driven about 16000 milesin the past 2 years of ownership. Were it not for the inequity of his last trade in, he would beowing approximately a little over $27000 on his vehicle.
The Certified warranty that came with the vehicle has expired on 12/17/2015. He hasbrought the vehicle in several times for repair at no charge to him. For his current repair bill, once again, there will be no charge to him for any work to be done on the vehicle. In goodCenter faith, based on all the inconveniences caused to him, we would be able to offer him $23000for his vehicle as a trade value, plus he would benefit from Washington State Tax credit,(approximately another 9.8%) if he purchases another vehicle from us. Please let him knowwe are willing to work with him to help his get out of his vehicle. Should he decide to sell thevehicle to us outright, the offer of $23,000 still stands till the end of January. Having saidthat, he would be responsible for the rest of the balance to the bank.
Please let us know if this would be a satisfactory solution to him.Thank you,
John M[redacted]
