Review: Throughout owning my vehicle, I have had it regularly serviced at the dealership. Normally, I prefer to have issues accumulate so that my trip is worthwhile, other than going to the dealership for each and every service issue. On one occasion, I was there to discuss multiple issues. Among those issues was a discoloration on the inside of both headlamps. It appeared that an image of a "ring/circle" in the inner part of the headlamp. There is no way to clean this as it's a closed headlamp assembly. I brought this up to the Service Manager, [redacted], who quickly dismissed it saying it couldn't be fixed, since it was inside the headlamp and not on the exterior. I brought up headlamp restoration, but was told that is only for exterior yellowing, etc. The headlamps are fully functional so we moved on to the other service issues. I found out months later when the vehicle was slightly out of warranty by approximately 2,000 mi, this was actually something covered under warranty when I initially brought it up. At which point, I bring it up to Mr. [redacted], who claims "he can't remember" if I brought it up. I stated that the headlamps were within warranty, since the service/conversation was conducted before the car hit the 50K mi. mark. I even spoke to Mercedes Benz. They wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars in installation fees in order to "goodwill" me the headlamps. Because they couldn't find the notes from Mr. [redacted] that I in fact brought the headlamp issue up while under warranty. The headlamps are not aesthetically pleasing. This is a newer vehicle and it shouldn't have these issues. I wanted the headlamps installed for free, or at the very least give me the parts so I can have them installed elsewhere. Based on principle, I should not have to pay for something just because Mr. [redacted] forgot or chose to not mark it down, or whatever his excuse is. I refuse to pay for installation, which would otherwise be covered had he marked it down, based on that principle.Desired Settlement: Since Mercedes corporate offices is willing to "goodwill" the parts; I would like them to install the parts for free, or at the very least give me the parts so I can have it installed elsewhere.
