I am reporting an unacceptable service, with elements of fraud as well as frank negligence in the service.
I had work done on my vehicle before (CV axel repair + change oil pan), I wanted to double check with mercedes by just an inspection.
I also know I have error code from passenger side ABS sensor malfunction that needs repair. And I hear a noise while driving with a vibration in standing and driving classical of bad engine mounts. The 2 issues take 5-10 minutes to identify and diagnose.
Adviser agent Mike, right off the bat told me he wants 2 hrs of inspection because "sounds like there has been some work done before" need more time for near 300 $ payment. He did confirm what I already knew about engine mounts but he is recommending changing trans mount as well!!!! usually when you dont inspect the car correctly they always say "engine and trans mounts" but not if you do your work diligently! then you would know in my case I just had a brand new OEM trans mount placed a couple month ago and its in perfect condition!! and when confronted, Mike insisted repeatedly that thats what needs to be done and there is a play!! I have evidence and witnesses that my trans mount is in perfect condition!! and he is lying or defrauding or both!!
2- ABS sensor: he recommended changing the two front sensors! knowing now that he is not trust worth and that the computer from outside was only showing an error in the right one. I changed only the right one and the car has been driving perfectly.. no errors.. no nothing!! for more than a month now!!!
3- regarding prior work on CV axle: the answer was perfect! nothing wrong reported! I had the car lifted a couple days from that inspection and I know and have a picture that the CV axle boot is ruptured and empty of grease!! how could they fail to even see this and report it! that tells me that didnt even look at it!! moreover, I just had my engine mounts changed at the other mercedes dealer and they brought to my attention the leak I have from the transfer case! I know this is related ot the CV axel work as it was not present before! they failed to mention it and I have documents from the other mercedes now proving it! that shows you they didnt even remove the panel to check!! then how did they see the "bad trans monut" which is we know is newly place and in perfect condition !!!
I need your help with refund and then I will need to contact attorney general I am thinking
Mr. vehicle was brought to World Wide Motors and written up with two specific complaints.
The first complaint was the ABS warning is going on and off.
It was looked at and the preliminary diagnosis was a bad wheel speed sensor, I understand the confusion as we recommended both. I have attached a copy of Mercedes tips document (technical bulletin) Li42.47.p-047541 which applies to this vehicle. Please see remedy: B which would indicate the need to replace both sensors for a correct repair.
The second complaint was vibration felt while accelerating from a stop.
We connect our SDS (star diagnostic system) ran the diagnostic routine, looked for pertinent information regarding this vibration and after road testing we felt the motor mount problem and cautioned them on the MPI report. That report was presented to the customer. We would normally quote for all three mounts because we had not at that point verified via disassembly that the rear mount was the correct OEM mount. The rear mount is a little more difficult to confirm as the engine would be sitting lower because the front mounts have collapsed. In the course of doing the repair we would have seen that the mount was new and verified that it was correct and not needed, if that was the case we would not have replaced it.
I have included the multi point inspection where you can see that we cautioned the mounts and as stated on the report which we do free of charge that it is in fact a visual report (page 3) without disassembly.
I think the report also indicates some significant issues that are still present with the vehicle.
Had the customer explained to us that the reason he brought the vehicle in was to have us look at specific items that another shop had repaired we would have done that but we also would have charged for that disassembly/ inspection/work.
The service advisors at World Wide Motors are not paid on commission basis, so it would not benefit that advisor to sell a customer anything that is not needed; there simply is no incentive for him to do so.
As a gesture of Good Will and hopefully too clear up any misunderstanding I’m more than willing to refund the charge of $140.00 for the partial diagnose of the motor mounts, which were replaced by our sister store.
Thank you

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.
Hi there,
In regard of my case, I rejected the offer but then I just came back from the other Mercedes branch today and I was very happy with the difference they showed, I understand now that they are related companies. I am fine with what Mr. G suggested to settle, plz send me the email again and I will accept it this time. I will contact Mr G tomorrow too. The level of care exhibited today at the downtown branch from Scott's team was really refreshing and forgiving.

I bought a brand new Mercedes GLE 43 Coupe from this dealership in June of 2017. I bought this vehicle because the salesman promised me anytime my vehicle was in their shop I would get a free loaner. Their website states "Is your vehicle going to be receiving repairs for a few days? You can take advantage of one of loaner vehicles." This is a factory authorized Merceds-Benz dealership. My vehicle needed some light body work, and a 10,000 mile service. Scheduled for 4.5 days in their shop for the repairs. I was told I could not have a loaner, due to the body repairs. I talked to my salesman, Raymond Y, and his GM Scott S. Raymond informed me, no, period. Even though that was his promise before I bought the car, I would get a free loaner. Scott told me he didn't care what their website was advertising. No loaner. They claim body shop work is not included for a free loaner. I informed them that is not what their advertising says on their official Mercedes website. They didn't care. I then spoke with Scott's boss, Brad F. I informed him of what was promised, and what they were advertising. He told me I was being trivial, and smiled at me. I informed him if it's trivial, then give me a free loaner or pay for a rental. He said no. He said he would look into it. The owner, Paul P then called me. I again explained what I was promised and what his company's advertising was stating. He said no one gives loaners for body work. I again explained what his website was advertising. He didn't care, he said no loaner. This day Sept 18, 2017
