I bought a Brand New Ram 1500 Classic, this vehicle was sold to me with 20 Inch tires. After about month of having the vehicle I noted that the spare tire that came with was a 17 Inch. I contacted the dealership and spoke with the GM Rick who told me that what comes with, Oh and I was lucky some vehicles come with "a can of Air" for your spare !!!! OMG what customer service and response . I said that this was unacceptable because , are you going to confirm no issues will occur with my truck if I put a 17" tire on a truck that has 3 other tires with 20" rims .. Rick response was call the 800 number with Chrysler and complain to them ... So I called Chrysler and they told me that yes this truck comes with a 17" tire as that is the standard size of tires for this truck. I said that the truck was sold to me with 20" tires new from the dealership... Chrysler's 800 number said you need to deal with the dealership as they are independently owed and they have no control... WOW again what great customer service ... NEVER AGAIN buy from Menzies, I bought several there but I guess thats what their 5 start service is

my spouse and I went into menzies chrysler on sept 15th to look at used vehicles.we met with *** sales rep and we test drove three of them, the sales manager(*** langworth)
suggested to test drive a black 2019 jeep cherokee north 4x4 active drive 2 because it had what I was looking for in a vehicle which was 6 cycl,awd with *** and had to tow at least 4000 lbs.after the test drive I mentioned that I liked the red color, he said he has that exact same one in the compound and I asked him if the red one had a trailer hitch on it as I wanted to tow my trailer he said no but I can just go to van and truck world and get one put on,at that time we left to discuss on what vehicle we wanted to purchase. *** called me on sept 18th and she asked me if I made a decision I said I will be up within the hour and test drive the 2019 jeep cherokee north 4x4 active drive 2 again,it was the exact same one I test drove the first time,I took my son with me to get his opinion.I decided to apply for financing.upon getting financing I agreed to purchase the red one that was in the compound that was suppose to be the exact same as the black one I test drove just a different color.I picked it up on sept 21st because I could not make it there when *** called me on sept 20th.my spouse and son came with me to pick it up, we waited with *** for half hour for the sales manager to come out but he was to busy so she proceeded to get the paper work signed and at this time a storm came in and thats when we got to the vehicle we all jumped in and she was trying to show me some of the features as she was in a hurry and got another lady to help because the dealership was closing and we could not really check out the vehicle to make sure it was the right one as it was very rushed,I didnt think it was the wrong vehicle until oct 5th when I went into *** chrysler in cobourg to get a price on a trailer hitch and thats when I found out that it will only pull 2000 lbs and that it was an active drive 1 not an ***.I called menzies and talked to *** and I told him that it was the wrong vehicle I received and I was suppose to have the *** not the 1, he told me it will pull it all I needed to do is put on a class 3 mopar hitch, I kept telling him it was the wrong vehicle, at the end of the conversation he said its not his problem.I called omvic they said the paper I signed was the vehicle in the drive way and I will have to try and deal with the dealership to get it resolved.they gave me the name of vice president and owner.I called back and left message with *** vice president, he called back that same night and I explained to him what was going on he said he will call back on tuesday with solution to problem.*** called back on wednesday oct 10th and said it will pull it and I tried to tell him that it wasnt the right vehicle but was not interested on what I was saying he said he was going to talk to his service guy *** and make sure that it will pull it he called back a few days later and he said yes it will and he will give me a discount on trailer hitch and a few oil changes for free.I was still telling him that it wasnt the right vehicle I was told I was getting and he said that it was the first he heard of it which I told him the first time I talked to him and I also mentioned the 30 satisfaction guarantee,he said they have no such guarantee and I told him yes there is because I signed one. I then called chrysler head office explained to them what was going on and was told they cant get involved because it was privately owned so I asked them if I got the hitch put on how much it will tow they say only 2000 lbs no more.Called owner and left message on 2 different occasions no response back(oct 23 & 26).Oct 30th I called *** to ask for help, she said she will get back to me,*** called back and said that it was resolved because they are not taking it back so enjoy it.

Desired Outcome

I would like the vehicle that I was promised a 2019 jeep cherokee north 4x4 active drive 2 at the qouted price minus the payments I have already paid.

Explained to the customer that the car has factory equipped tow prep group and she understands that all that needs to be done is install the hitch herself and its good to go . Mrs *** is aware and seems fine with it we hope she enjoys her vehicle.

I do not accept the reply.As I have told you since oct 5 that it is not the vehicle that I test drove and agreed upon. I was told the vehicle that I test drove will pull 4500 lbs, I also researched to make sure that the active drive II will tow what that amount unlike the active drive I that will only tow 2000 lbs. I was given the vehicle that only tow 2000 lbs .After talking to you about the issue and your recommendations I called head office of Chrysler and gave them my VIN number head of Chrysler they recommend that I do not tow over the exceeded limit of the 2000 lbs, along with going to 4 other dealerships that say the same thing even with any modification as per your recommendations to put a hitch on it and good to go it will still only pull 2000 lbs. Head of Chrysler says it will void my warranty if I attempt to pull over 2000 lbs. I have specification to verify this,also the pictures of the vehicle I test drove. I also would like all and any paperwork the was signed by me and the sales representative mailed to me including the 30 day satisfaction guarantee as I know I signed.

I scheduled my RAM 1500 36 month maintenance with Menzie's. Upon arrival I told the Service advisor that I needed the 36 month maintenance as per my owner's manual. He asked if I wanted a fuel injector service, I said no, he said I was getting close for an axle fluid replacement. Again, not needed. He performed the 36 month maintenance incorrect and did not change the air filter, Trying to extort money from a customer. Same thing when I returned for a recall. Tried to sell me fuel injection service, I declined. On my invoice documented 'scheduled service declined'. The Service Advisors are either *** or ***.

Owner's manual is the bare minimum requirement. We recommend Injection service to prolong the life of a vehicle.That is above and beyond the FCA maintenance schedule. Air filters are not replaced at a specified interval,they are replaced on a as needed basis.The decision on the services is the customers.All we do is provide recommendations

Approximately one year old Ram 1500 with 13 500 kms is rusting at some of the weather stripping and the leather is peeling. After pictures being taken and waiting several weeks, the decision is to fix the weather stripping issue however, not the leather one due to wear and tear. Attributing the leather peeling to wear and tear is unacceptable as the vehicle is virtually new. The lengthy process labelled Digital Imaging by the dealer is also unacceptable. If the process was digital it would not take nearly as long as it did.

Unfortunately the digital imaging is totally out of the dealers hands and are in FCA hands . We have tried to phone FCA to get a quicker response and will continue to do so
