I was charged for $150 cancellation fee even though I showed up to the appointment and was misled saying they took my insurance.
It definitely was not a pleasant experience as their lack of Communication with questionable intent. I called previously two times to verify they took insurance and gave them all of my insurance information, they stated they do take insurance. Like usual they called to verify the day before that I was still coming and took down my credit card information stating this was in case I no showed. And then went to the appointment, was on time and they asked me for my ID and insurance information. I started to overhear as I was being called back that My insurance was out of network. The doctor was kind, we started going over options I have which was the only professional part of this place. I stated the entire reason why I came was because I verify twice with his staff that they take my insurance. I even talked about the potential for trying to get a single case agreement since I work in the industry. He walked me up to the front and all I got was attitude from the front office ladies, rolling their eyes, trying to justify and groom their Customer/client. I felt like this was bait and switch. They were quoting $260 a month, I would definitely reconsider this place and just go through primary care Physician.
Update: 10/11/18
I then find out the next day they charged me for $150 cancellation fee even though I showed up to the appointment and was misled saying they took my insurance. I'm currently taking it up with joint commission, and ADHS for miss leading practices. I would stay away at all costs as they are there to take advantage of their clients without having true informed consent.
Initial Business Response /(1000, 6, 2018/10/22) */
Patient was scheduled to be seen in our office for an appointment on 10.10.18. After meeting with our provider, the patient decided he no longer wished to go through with the appointment and cancelled. This resulted in our "late cancellation fee" for a new patient. Our no call/no show/cancellation policy is posted in our office, included in our new patient paperwork financial responsibility form, and discussed at the time of making an appointment with our office. I have attached a copy of our policy and his signed financial responsibility form for your further review. Thank you.
I had a check up at work and there were some discrepancies with some of my results. I was told to find a doctors office to take a better look and be overlooked by a doctor. I called men's vitality center in Tucson to ask if they took my insurance. They said yes. When I first went to my appointment at this clinic, I felt very at ease and like everything was going well with my doctor. I trusted him as well as the staff. When I got done with the appointment and it came time to pay, I was told my insurance was very good and that for the follow up appointments I would not have to pay anything that my insurance would cover all of it. However; upon going to my follow up visit I was told I had to pay for the full price out of pocket. That this clinic didn't take my insurance. This was not the information I was at first given. This was not what we had agreed on. This was not told to me when I first went for my first appointment. I feel like they lied and took my money, and I feel like I was lied to. Now they're demanding payment for something I should have not had to pay for in the first place.

Patient, ***, was seen in our office on 8/20/18 for a follow up visit with our provider. At the time of his new patient appointment on 9/9/18, his insurance was accepted at our clinic. Unfortunately, we are no longer in network with Mr. insurance and the staff informed him of this prior to being seen on the 20th of August, and the patient was seen on a "self-pay" basis. We have attached the signed patient financial responsibility form for your review.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /(3000, 10, 2018/09/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They told me me after my checkup they were not accepting my insurance other then that I wasn't sent a letter or email. If so I would have canceled the appointment
