Melton and Son Tree Service

On February 6th Spartanburg suffered heavy storms and damage from an EF1 tornado which hit our neighborhood and house. Two huge oak trees were uprooted and fell across the entire front of the yard. I called Wayne Melton for tree cutting services. He quoted tree and stump removal in the amount of $2200. It took them three days to cut the trees and get them off the yard but did not complete the job. They told me that they would be back last Tuesday - February 11 - to complete the job and do the stump removal and never came back. We have left phone and text messages and no reply. I paid Wayne $2000.00 thinking that I could trust him to return and do the stump removal as he stated, for he has done tree cutting work for me in the past. But he has yet to return my calls. And I feel that he is unreliable and has taken full advantage of our bad situation. I don’t wish for other people to be affected by this service. I will be contacting the police to issue a report as well. I am a totally disabled veteran and trusted on Wayne Melton to do the job, and I feel cheated of my money. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
