To whom it may concern, We use numbers instead of symbols, and unfortunately either way we have someone that feels they were"the big winner" because they failed to fully read the disclaimers. We always go one step further than required on our campaigns and add the disclaimer near or under the prize section rather than just small print at the bottom back of the mail piece. All of our campaigns are insured as required by law and all the winning numbers have been randomly selected by the insurer and are ALL ALWAYS MAILED Of course the goal when one advertises is to drive traffic to their business.Thank you for your review of our rebuttal!

Re: complaint 1D# [redacted] , I am enclosing paperwork showing where Mr [redacted] signed on separate forms showing that the warranty cost was $We are unable to cancel and credit back the cost of the warranty because [redacted] warranty company, to prevent warranty misuse, does not allow for cancellationsAlso, I have reviewed the sale worksheet and I can see where Mr [redacted] was given a $discount off the sale priceLastly, according to the "we owe" (a form we use to list anything that was promised to the customer), the only item promised was a windshield that was already repairedWe would however be happy to provide Mr [redacted] with a 2"d key and a lug wrench

To whom it may concern, I have attached a copy of the mailer clearly outlining our disclaimers and odds of winning. We use numbers instead of symbols, and unfortunately, either way, we have someone that feels they were"the big winner" because they failed to fully read the disclaimers. We always go one step further than required on our campaigns and add the disclaimer near or under the prize section rather than just small print at the bottom back of the mail piece. All of our campaigns are insured as required by law and all the winning numbers have been randomly selected by the insurer and are ALL ALWAYS MAILED We apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding this may have caused.Of course, the goal when one advertises is to drive traffic to their business.Thank you for your review of our rebuttal!

Re: complaint [redacted] upon taking delivery of vehicle on 10/01/agreed to the warranty provided by Rankl and RiesWe try to spell everything out so there is no confusionBecause of this we had him initial all coverages and termsAttached is a copy that he agreed toAlso enclosed is paperwork on a "we owe" that states his warranty and nothing more was promisedHowever [redacted] did incur some mechanical problems shortly after purchaseRankl & Ries as a goodwill gesture spent approx$resolving [redacted] complaints, none of which were covered under the 50/5o drivetrain warrantyI realize this was an inconvenience for the [redacted] but they were provided free transportation while the vehicle was being servicedAt no time during the covered service period did [redacted] or his wife make any reference to a transmission issue or an encoder motor concernOur warranty has a specific time limit of go days, when T [redacted] ***r initially contacted the Revdex.com on 03/04/he was already over months past his warranty expirationUnfortunately, Rankl & Ries is no longer responsible for repairs as the warranty is expired

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below It was very upsetting when the blonder hair salesman got mad at me for pointing out the 10% of income line on the flyerI pointed out I also had a car with a loan and was told that would be sold, not to worryBefore signing the papers, [redacted] said don't worry Miss ***, you have days to return this if not happyFri 4/- I stopped by the issuing bank and they also said I had days to return it and the loan was based on my credit score not incomeI drove straight to the dealership and [redacted] again said I had days to return it On Sat 4/- I did try and return the car, the salesman in front of his manager~not one of the owners~ & my own personal witness, [redacted] said, that it was him who wanted to buy my car that still has $owned on it & just waiting on his credit union, there would not be a problemHe wrote his name & a phone number on the Rankl & Ries envelope, what time to call him on Mon 4/I did, he said call back Wednesday 4/at the same timeI did [redacted] said his credit union would be call me Thurs 4/or Fri 4/to verify some informationThey didn't and that's when I knew I had been lied to the entire timeTad, when I was signing those papers it was after being yelled at by one salesperson, told that car was the only one for me & [redacted] saying I had days to return the vehicleIt's not you that I'm upset withLike I trusted your salesperson to be honest, so did you Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We feel our complaint and request is not unreasonableWe purchased what we thought was a good reliable vehicle, within the first weeks of owning the truck we had to return to the dealership at least times due to the same problem, ABS and BRAKE lights coming on and dinging, each time the dealership would give us a loaner "car" which does not work for our family for many reasons, we dont like cars, we have a large family, we live out in the country, and we have a small farm, hauling feed, hay and manure is not something you can do in a car, each time we asked for a truck and we were told that we were getting the best of there loaners, which was pretty sad considering they had check engine lights, low tire lights, hard to start, smelled like smoke (we have two kids with asthma) Within the first months of us owning the truck we made our payments in full and on time even though we did not have the vehicle in our possession at time of paymentsWe requested many times if we could exchange the truck, rewrite the loan for another truck that was in working condition, we were told that we hadnt paid enough on ours to do thatWhen we picked the truck up for the last time from the dealership we were told "We got it this time we think" within a week the transmission went outWhen we called we were told that our warranty had ran out, which we knew it had a limited warranty but we never had the vehicle in our possession for the length of the so called warrantyWe were told that if we brought the truck back up they would see what kind of a deal they could work out for us, which we felt was unjustWe took the truck to another garage and had the transmission replaced for a cost of $The following week the ABS and BRAKE lights came on again and the 4xwent out, we returned to the second garage for him to repair, he replaced the 4xencoder motor and the power wire to the encoder motor, at a cost of $We feel that due to the conditions of the vehicle that we were sold, it is not unreasonable to ask that we be refunded our $deposit, $transmission repair and $for a total of $We would never have paid that amount of money for a vehicle that we can not say is safe, and had that many problems [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, Tim Oliver

To whom it may concern: Re: *** Yes it will be the correct lug wrenchIt couldn't have been done months ago, as Mr *** never asked us for it until he filed this complaintAs already shown, Mr *** received more than the $discountAs stated previously, warranties are not cancellableMr *** was not given the run arousimply doesn't agree with the fact that he cannot cancel his warrantyThe paperwork wasn't changedEven though Rankl & Ries promised nothing further when mr *** purchased the vehicle, we agreed to, after the fact, provide the extra key and the lug wrenchAfter that we consider this matter closed

Re: ID * ***, regarding complaint filed by *** ***In April of 2015, we sold *** *** a Saturn for $Unfortunately, this is a yrold vehicle that has been driven in Ohio (also known as the rust belt) all of its lifeRust and corrosion are on many older vehicles and we have no
way of preventing thatIn the case of this Saturn, the front cradle has rust throughAs a goodwill gesture, we offered to only charge *** *** $of a $repair-she chose to remove her car and write you a letter. Our offer still stands of $for the repair. However, we do not guarantee rust through on any vehicle we sell

Trade paid off in full, nothing charged to customerCustomer has both titles to the vehicles they boughtAll is well on this as far as I can seeThanks

This letter is a complete surprise to meI'm Tad R*** and I did the Delivery of the vehicle and the paperwork for *** ***We spent time together with the salesmanI did all the paperworkWe talked about her husband and how she loves to come to the Dragway of ***, which I am part owner
ofI have copies of all the paperwork which can be shown*** did tell me of her husband which is very unfortunate but she never said it had anything to do with her buying the carWhen the paperwork was completed, we talked some more about racing at *** and her husband and how her brother in law *** *** raced at the track alsoI never felt like she was under any pressure or didn't want the carShe has not contacted me after the sale of the car, that's why I was completely surprised by this letterI have no information of any complaint at all regarding the salesmanI can tell you the salesman sat in with us and talked with us while we did the paperworkI'm confused because both the salesman and I talked with *** about many things but all lighthearted and good in natureI don't believe we have done anything wrong so I guess my response is there is nothing I can do for the customer at this pointIf you need my help further, please let me know

To whom it may concern:We mailed 40,000 mailers and everyone else accepted the explanation of winning.  Unfortunately,  we were not able to please [redacted]. We were completely within legal stated guidelines and did nothing wrong.  We do not owe [redacted] any money and feel like that would be a payoff.Thank you for your reply.Rankl & Ries Motorcars

It amazes me how much a person in a business can get away with lying and stealing from a person and it is legal. Rankl & Ries sold me a car that they had to have known smelled like cat urine and rode really rough for an ** year old woman.  He had never ask me if I wanted the warranty but put it in on my loan and did tell me that he got me a better interest rate because of it.  He then told me if I cancelled that it would not make any difference on my loan.  I knew it would not change my payments so I called the bank and found out that it would be put on the principal.  It would not change the interest rate at all.I did not have several issues with the car.  I did think something was wrong with the transmission & a door lock needed fixed & her told me if I cancelled the warranty I would have to pay two to three thousand to get it fixed.  This is within a month after buying the car.I did ask him within the month if he would help me with another car because I am under doctors care for a serious back problem.  He ask me if I wanted to pay more for a car and I said I am on a fixed income and needed to stay at the $170 payment I already have.  He never told me that I neeollars cash an they gave me $500 towards my old car.He at that time looked me in the eye and shook my hand and said he would help me.  Now he is saying how he cannot find a car in that price range.  They have had two big sales going on at the business since I got my car, but they can't find one at the price I paid which was almost ten thousand for a 2011 Kia [redacted] with 75 thousand miles on it.They don't want to help because they know they will never get it sold smelling of cat urine.  They were so nice to have the windows down for me on the day I bought it and told me to turn on a newly paved road on my test drive.  They knew what they were doing.  Taken by Rankl & Ries. It was very upsetting when the blonder hair salesman got mad at me for pointing out the 10% of income line on the flyer. I pointed out I also had a car with a loan and was told that would be sold, not to worry. Before signing the papers, [redacted] said don't worry Miss [redacted], you have 3 days to return this if not happy. Fri 4/21 - I stopped by the issuing bank and they also said I had 3 days to return it and the loan was based on my credit score not income. I drove straight to the dealership and [redacted] again said I had 3 days to return it.  On Sat 4/22 - I did try and return the car, the salesman in front of his manager~not one of the owners~ & my own personal witness, [redacted] said, that it was him who wanted to buy my car that still has $7500 owned on it & just waiting on his credit union, there would not be a problem. He wrote his name & a phone number on the Rankl & Ries envelope, what time to call him on Mon 4/24. I did, he said call back Wednesday 4/26 at the same time. I did. [redacted] said his credit union would be call me Thurs 4/27 or Fri 4/28 to verify some information. They didn't and that's when I knew I had been lied to the entire time. Tad, when I was signing those papers it was after being yelled at by one salesperson, told that car was the only one for me & [redacted] saying I had 3 days to return the vehicle. It's not you that I'm upset with. Like I trusted your salesperson to be honest, so did you.
