Case number- [redacted] Mr [redacted] contacted myself about the incident in which he was overcharged for his meal on 4/ We failed to respond to the first inquiry in a expeditious manner and I greatly apoligize When we had researched the incident, we found that he had been overcharged I was hoping to refund the entire amount of the check for our error I feel I may have not communicated my intentions as clear as necessary when I asked for the credit card number to issue the refund He became agitated with myself, which was the opposite of my intention I would love to offer whatever I can to correct our error I can also assure that anyone who is guilty of commiting any fraudulent transactions would never be allowed to work here Please contact myself if I can do anything to help rectify our mistake [redacted] General Manager Mellow Mushroom River CityMax Leggett Pkwy.Jacksonville, Fl 32218###-###-####

Mellow Mushroom was advertising $2.50 pizzas. Their flyer in no way indicated that they would stop honoring their special. Mellow Mushroom was offering $2.50 small cheese pizza's and a couple beverage specials. I made plans with my family to go there for dinner. When I arrived with my family including my husband and my children (ages [redacted]), we waited in line to get to the hostess podium. After at least 25+ minutes if not 30 we were told that they were no longer honoring the pizza special. My family of 5 was left without dinner plans along with many many others. Had I known that they had limited their special to only a certain number of customers I would have never driven all the way through rush hour traffic with my children including an infant, and had dinner ready at home. Desired SettlementI want an apology from the business, any future flyer to include their limitations so customers can make an educated decision and a voucher so I can get my kids the pizza they were looking forward to.More info received from the consumer 2014-08-21I was contacted by (I'm assuming) the General Manager of the restaurant. He was quick to apologize, professional and offered up a resolution. I would consider this matter addressed.
Review: I visited this store location on the afternoon of Aug 9 2015, I have been to this particular location several times within a month prior to this visit. I always come on a Sunday to get their 1/2 off cheese bread and philly cheesesteak and some drinks. They have a chalkboard in front of their store advertising appetizer specials for the week and drink specials. And for sunday it says 1/2 off cheese bread for $2.50. But this particular Sunday I was charged $5 plus for the cheesebread and was charged $14.50 for a tall double Jack and Coke. For cheesebread, 1/2 of a philly cheesesteak and 2 drinks I paid $47. I know I was overcharged for the cheesebread and I do believe I was way overcharged for the drinks. I go to Chili's often and there double tall Jack and cokes is $7.35 (only $.75 more a shot) & at Logan's it is $2.50 more for an extra shot. Don't understand why this is the only place that charges literally a double price and no one in this area does that. The bartender didn't tell me it would by $7.25 extra a shot but [redacted] and [redacted] always does. If I had known this would be $7.25 extra a shot I would have told her to forget it. I did tell the bartender that I had never paid that much for a drink in my life anywhere she said she could fix that but she had already swiped my card and I was in a hurry to leave plus I needed to leave because I was really upset and didn't want to say anything to upset her.Desired Settlement: I did email them and MR. [redacted] did email me back saying that it is $7.25 a shot and that I should have been given a half order of cheesebread. He did say he had a $20 gift certificate waiting for me but I feel that is insulting, and they just want me to come back and give them more business. I would like to have a refund of $14.50 for the 2 drinks,& $2.50 for the 1/2 off cheesebread = $17 but I am not expecting that not to happen at this point in time. Sad they have to overcharge people.

I am still very bitter with Mellow Mushroom, just don't understand why they took a month to respond to the Revdex.com complaint? And I still don't understand why they are $7 more expensive on the same drink than [redacted] and $5 more expensive than [redacted] Doesn't make sense, it isn't that more special than the others. The assistant mgr Mr. [redacted] made it very clear in his email that it is $14.50 for a tall double Jack and Coke where as at [redacted] it is $7.05, [redacted] it is $9.50. Attached is a copy of my receipt from [redacted]. I am sorry I just feel really ripped off. Charging double what other places charge and not telling the customer before he orders or have a price list isn't very good customer service in my book. If I wanted to pay $14.50 for 2 shots of jack I would have went to the liquor store and bought a bottle.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
