Meidl Honda

Trade an [redacted] on a Honda. Leased the Honda with max. down payment. A cheque of $22,246 was to be issued to me. Purchase dat Au 13, 2016 I purchased a '16 Honda from Meidl with a max. down payment of $15,754 on a 2 - year lease. I traded a '14 [redacted] for $38,000. The residual of $22,246 was to be paid by cheque. The transaction took place on a Saturday and I was told they could issue a cheque till Monday. I inquired some days later and was told the cheque was in the mail. Two stories, the latest date given of mailing was Au 18, 2016. I have not received the cheque to date and I am unable to make contact with the Sales Manager, [redacted] nor are my calls or e-mails b being returned. I looked for a senior official of the company on their staff chart, but none appearDesired SettlementI am seeking an immediate electronic transfer of $22,246 to my personal account. [redacted] Business Response A cheque was issued to the customer on August 16, 2016 for the agreed amount of $22,246.00. The cheque was sent by mail to him and subsequently cashed by him, clearing our bank on September 6, 2016. It was unfortunate that it took too long for the cheque to reach him. In retrospect we should have chosen another means to deliver it to him.Unless our customer has anything else to add, this case can be closed.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This complaint was prompted by the failure of the dealership to respond to either my e-mails or phone calls up to Sept 01, 2016. There was no listing on their website of anyone at a higher level to reach out to above the Sales Manager I was trying to reach and had dealt with. [redacted] the vehicle not being ready when I arrived at the dealership on Aug 13th at the appointed time and I had to wait for the Sales Manager to clean it. [redacted]
