After I had been diagnosed for sleep apnea through the testing at Medigas I was required to take a 2 week trial to determine what pressure I needed. To do this they told me that I had to purchase a mask for 250.00 which they selected and I purchased. This was on July 13, 2017. It leaked a lot and when I told them they said that I had to use it longer. On July 19 I took it in to exchange it as I was exhausted from not sleeping for 5 nights because I was up all night adjusting it. Unfortunately the new mask left a blister on the top of my nose so I had to let it heal and went back on July 24 and got the F20 which did the same. On July 28 I got the Quattro FX which seemed to be some what acceptable in performance BUT I was tested on a machine that has a varied pressure and the machine that they knew I was getting was a constant pressure. When my machine came the mask basically explodes on my face. When I went to tell them Kim and the therapist would not listen and Kim told me that I could go else where. I stated the fact that it was easy for them to say because they have my money. He was rude. The whole time that this was going on from day 1 they would make me feel like I was imposing on them and costing them money. The therapist didn't even know how the mask came apart for cleaning, I had to show her and Kim.
It is not just a leak, it starts slowly and that explodes on my face. The best that I can describe it is if someone hit you in the face with an air hose or you stuck your head out a car when driving fast. I can not breathe and I have to get it of quick. I now have a $250.00 mask that I can not use and if I do I am up most of the night adjusting it. They have told me to go else where so I would like to go to Vitalaire but I would also like my money back to get a mask that will do my treatment. They had told me at the Cancer Clinic on many of my appointments that I have to reduce stress. This experience has done nothing but cause me sleepless nights and stress.
Medigas is a NIGHTMARE!
