There is a problem with the folks that post the payment actually paying attention to the account numbers provided on the payment. I paid a bill via electronic funds as, in this day and age, I cannot tell you the last time I wrote a check. Even though the account number was clearly typed on the check sent by the bank, because the check came from my account in which my legal name is different than my daughter's legal name, the check was cashed but not credited to my daughter's account. These folks need to start paying much more attention to the details before they send out threatening bills for amounts already paid and deducted from a person's account. When I asked for a bill that showed this payment to be finally posted be sent to be via email, apparently, a company that has its own website, doesn't have the means to meet this request. I find it hard to believe that I am the first person to ever have legally changed her name due to a second marriage yet having a child who has a different name. If they provide you with an account number and you use that account number, that information should be paid attention to.
