When my wife and I first walked into the model home, we knew we wanted to purchase a home in the neighborhood. It was everything that we were looking for, from the location to the floor plan. We waited (not so) patiently on the wait list, were excited when we signed the contract to start construction, and then eagerly watched as our empty lot turned into our dream home to build our family in.
Approximately 30 days from settlement, we ran into a snag with our lender that was going to delay our settlement date, initially by a week. Ordinarliy this may not be considered a big deal, but that would have pushed us into a third month of living in my old bedroom at my parents’ home (along with my wife, 11 month old son, dog and 2 cats!) Calls were taking 2 days to be returned, paper work would be sent in, and then need to be resent. Our dream had quickly turned into a nightmare of a headache when the lender informed us that our settlement date would be delayed by 3 weeks, and that it would be “impossible” to settle any faster than that.
At this point, the builder recommended that we speak with James Mason of MDE Home Loans because he was “a miracle worker”. Upon speaking with Mr. Mason, everything seemed too good to be true. He promised to be able to settle in July (not middle / late August), and would meet or beat my offer from the first lender. I agreed to use MDE Home Loans for our mortgage, and it was one of the best decisions that I could have made. Emails were returned promptly, including weekends. Documents only had to be sent one time, and they were even willing to drive to my home to complete any required paperwork prior to settlement. MDE Home Loans was able to exceed every promise that they made through their hard work and persistence. Their employees were all dedicated to making sure that my family and I got into our dream home as quickly as possible, and with the best mortgage that they could provide.
MDE Home Loans was able to achieve the “impossible” because of their dedication, work ethic, and thorough knowledge of the mortgage process. While we’re not planning on needing to purchase another home any time soon, I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend MDE Home Loans to everyone I know.

Review: MDE Home Loans provided closing documentation that purposely didn’t include federally required information to artificially lower the monthly payment in order to keep me from calling MDE Home Loans again (after multiple attempts the day before closing, with no call backs from MDE Home Loans) and to proceed with the closing with fraudulent information.MDE Home Loans guaranteed me many times that rates would drop before closing and that MDE Home Loans would be able lower the rate closer to the one we initially locked in, which never happened (even though rates dropped .20% before closing) . MDE Home Loans also guaranteed me that MDE Home Loans would refinance us at a lower rate if it didn’t.Desired Settlement: MDE Home Loans commitment of refinancing us at a lower rate. As an authorized and designated broker for [redacted] we request that this be done at no cost to us either under the same terms as we currently have or an 80/10/10 as was originally guaranteed and never honored. Or to provide us a refund of the points that were paid.
