Before visiting the office, I double checked with their office if I would have to pay more than my copayI called first and then even double checked in person if I had to pay more than my copay to my insuranceIf so, I would have canceled the appointmentThe person that day reassured me I'm covered and it's only the copayShe reassured me on the phone and then in personAnd I even ASKED times in person, "so it's only copay and I won't owe anything else to my insurance"?
A week later, I get a billThen when I called to complain, they said "well it's patient's responsibility to pay the deductible." Obviously, it is my responsibility, but the point is I wouldn't have gone to see the doctor if I knew that my insurance didn't cover the visit 100% before deductibleAll my other doctors warn me that there would be other costs on top of copay or some other doctors are covered 100% and it's just copayThe staff was misleadingIt's like all they cared about was to make a quick buc
