Review: Complaint concerns store location on or near Valley Brook Road. Store lost three (3) dress shirts, and damaged two (2) more. Shirts were Brooks Brothers or Jos. A. Banks. Despite complaining for weeks since July 2013, no one has responded to the complaint and no offer of reimbursement for the cost of the lost and damaged shirts has been made. Complaints made in person and on the phone have been completely ignored. Absolutely no follow-up by the store. Hugely disappointing when I have been a regular customer there for more than a year.Desired Settlement: Pay for cost of the lost and damaged shirts. The cost to replace the shirts will be in excess of $350.00
DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES TO THIS STORE. Here's my story: In June I received a voicemail that I had left clothes at the McMurray location of the store that I had not picked up. I had completely forgotten that I had even dropped anything off; however, I was in the hospital after giving birth via C-section with complications when I got the voicemail so I was clearly in no shape to be returning their voicemail let alone picking up my clothes. I had other things on my mind, like taking care of a new baby and trying to heal after a major abdominal surgery. When I returned home, I was not permitted to drive for four weeks because of my complications. When I finally made it to the store, the employees could not locate my clothes. I made several visits to the locations as well as making numerous phone calls, leaving my number each time and requesting a call back. No one ever called me back. Finally, I was told that the owner, Larry, had thrown my clothes out. When I called the Pike street location to speak with him, another man answered the phone and insisted that he could resolve my issue instead of letting me speak with Larry. When I explained my situation to him, he first tried to compare my situation with an abdominal surgery he once had, as if he could understand my circumstances AFTER GIVING BIRTH. When I pointed this out because clearly no one would be calling the dry cleaners AFTER GIVING BIRTH, he became belligerent, yelling at me, cutting me off while I was speaking, and finally telling me “I don’t give a [redacted]! Go to [redacted]!" and hanging up on me. I am appalled. This is the most unprofessional business in our area. What type of supervisor speaks to customers like that? I highly recommend that you find another dry cleaner at which to do business. This place is horrendous.
