I contacted McLean Roofing and Siding for an estimate on new gutters. Contractor missed his 8:30 AM appointment, which I took an hour of my time to wait for someone to arrive, by 9:00 AM, I had to leave for work. I found estimate in door upon arriving home that evening and found their quote to be acceptable. I phoned and discussed with the estimator that I needed to coordinate gutter removal prior to paint exterior of home and a later date for install. I received contract in the mail and it had no mention of the discussion we had. I amended the contract and returned it with discussion as stated in phone call and accepted the terms with amendment. I contacted McLean several times a week prior to paint and only reached the answering service. Not once receiving a return call. Cancelled contract via e-mail a day prior to paint hoping someone would come and remove the gutters. Apparently there is a communication issue at this company.
I was told that gutters were suppose to be taken down by Wednesday aug 7 and told customer that I didn’t no that was part of job not on contract but was working to get guys there by Tuesday aug 6 to remove when customer informed me on Monday to cancel contract I was completely unaware we had time to meet usually gutter quotes I do when in area and leave at house if there was a time to meet I apologize if that was expected
Again I left several messages with his answering service and on his web site over the course of 10 days with respect to timing of gutter removal. How the owner can be misinformed is beyond me. All that needed to be done was to pick up the phone and return my call.
