This letter is in response to the complaint filed by *** ***Complaint Id #*** *** Chrysler was brought to our facility for service on April 21stUnfortunately due to the amount of cars we had in for service and the problem his vehicle was having there was
a delay in getting it to a technician to be worked on*** *** has a service contract which will cover a rental for a total of five days*** *** chose to take the rental and the five days were used while waiting for the vehicle to be diagnosedChryslers service contracts with rental car coverage are set up to cover a rental for the time that the vehicle is in the shop to be repairedIt does not cover time for shop delay etcThey look at the repairs needed and completed and base the amount of time need to complete these repairs and authorize rental coverage on that. example - If a repair would consist of one day to diagnose and repair time wise they would authorize two daysThe only time we are able to get more than the five days authorized are if a part has to be ordered and there is a issue with getting the part in a timely matterBut because *** *** was patient and we do what we can to help any and all of our customers we were able to get the repairs taken care of on *** *** vehicle under warranty even though it was out of warranty and between Chrysler and our dealership all of the rental was taken care of at no charge to *** *** If there are any questions or if more information is needed please feel free to contact me.
