The problem was a leaking spa with no access. To gain access the side of the cabinet had to be cut carefully and saved to be used later as an access panel. I removed garbage bags full of saturated, wet foam full of feces and found the filter retaining nut was loose and the gasket was compromised. I repaired the filter housing, installed batt insulation and reinstalled the panel. The sealant had to cure for a say so a return visit the next day allowed me to fill and run the spa. At this point the customer was at the cottage and asked for an invoice via email and an E-transfer would follow. I filled the spa up and let the system run. Unfortunately when the home owner came home from the cottage, the water level was low indicating another leak. I sent an invoice for my time and advised another service call would be necessary and another part of the cabinet would have to be removed for access. Their is no way I could have known their was more than 1 leak and I thought I was doing the right thing by billing proactively instead of a lump sum at the end. I was instantly reported to the Revdex.com and 0 star reviews simply by sending an invoice. I never abandoned the customer, I was willing to resolve the other leaks and I am completly shocked at the approach taken to defamate my character and business practice. A hottub with no access and filled with Spray foam is a difficult expensive repair any way you look at it. It is the nature of the design, not the lack of experience or effort on my part.
