I spoke to [redacted] on the night of December 22nd and she agreed to a personal meeting after the holidays to review the damage to the house and discuss the situation further

McCarthy Ford has processed a refund check in the amount the customer has requested ($336.38)The work performed at our dealership that the customer states was done "improperly" based on statements made by some independent garage was performed nearly a year ago and customer has returned to dealership for other services since then multiple times with no reports or complaints relating to engine performanceThis refund is being processed not as any admission of wrong doing or fault on the dealerships behalf but simply a goodwill gesture for a local Ford ownerWe take pride in our business operation and have an outstanding reputation both within the Ford dealership network as well as within our local communityThe fact that we were never made aware of an unresolved customer issue during subsequent visits to us confirms this is simply a frivolous way to get free repairs/maintenance (the cost being refunded is for a failed ignition coil months later) and quite frankly is very disappointingIf any additional information is needed please feel free to contact us [redacted] /Service Manager

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted] ***

There sure are a lot of complaints against McCarthy ***! There are so many Ford dealers in the area it may be best to go with someone who doesn't have so many complaints against them.
Go to *** or dealerrater.com or any of the other websites that rate dealers. The worst is that Ray *** gets in the mud with the people who complain instead of reputable dealers who have the owners have someone reach out to make the buyers happy.
This shows that Ray *** is the very worst owner of a dealership in our area. Hopefully, there aren't other dealerships around the country that are as bad as this owner and this dealership!

Mr Cascio,
McCarthy Ford has a A+ rating with Revdex.com. We have received Ford's highest honors for customer service 17 straight years straight. We hope you enjoy your new Ford Escape.
We definitely worked hard for you to make sure you were able to purchase a new Escape.
I know when you left you truly appreciated our hard work. Good luck in the future.

If you are thinking of working with Ray *** and McCarthy *** you must read this 1st!
Ray *** called and asked me to come into the dealership for a sale he was having the Escapes. I came to LeFevour wasn’t in. We had bought a couple of Ford’s from Lefvour before.
LeFevour's team took over they were very pushy and wouldn’t even look at the preapproval I came in with.
On September 6th of this year, I bought a 2019 Ford Escape from McCarthy Ford. On Monday the 9th I sent Lefvour an email saying how I wasn’t happy how I was treated.
Lefvour called right back and left on my voice mail how he didn’t want to do business with me and that he had ripped up our contract and to bring the car back in.
I sent Lefvour an email telling me he could rip up our contract but I intended to keep the car and since he ripped up the contract and I wasn’t I was obliged to bring the car back.
Well, Lefvour went into a rage he called me 6 more times a couple from different cell numbers. He demanded I bring the car right back or he was calling the police. Lefvour sent email after email saying I stole his car and that I would be arrested in front of my family.
We called Ford they said there was nothing they could do.
Once Lefvour called again I answered this time
I asked Lefvour whose number was 312.320.4031?
LeFevour said how should I know? I asked him again you never called me this number? Lefvour again said no. I said I called that number and you answered and said I had the wrong number.
I told Lefvour I got that number from you calling earlier and you answered and said that wasn’t you didn’t know any Ray remember?
He said sorry pal I never talked to you from that number.
I said no Ray? Who is *** Lefvour from 507 s Sunnyside Elmhurst, Illinois? Lefvour then said he works at the dealership.
I asked if that is your brother? Lefvour wouldn’t answer. I said you don’t know your brother's number? I said Ray you just lied 7 times in a minute and a half.
Lefvour then went into a tirade and called me names that can’t be printed here. LeFevour was screaming so loud over the phone my wife came in the close the windows.
My wife asked if she could speak to Ray, to see me he was screaming so much. When my wife asked Lefvour what his problem was he told my wife that “your husband is a pussy and I am going to show you how much”.
My wife took that as a threat and called the police.
The police came over and called Lefvour and asked him why he lied and said the police would arrest me for theft when we had a contract and that this is a civil matter. Lefvour told the policeman that he didn’t understand that it is yearend sales and needs to get out all the old cars to make room for the new 2019’s. The officer then said listen to me if call or text or email these people even 1 more with another lie or threat or even to say good morning I am coming over and you won’t like it.
The officer then asked if he understood. LeFevour said he understood.
After Lefvour said he tore up the paperwork we went to another Ford dealer and told the story a few of the salesmen came up and said this kid has HUGE problems Huge problems and that he finally went off the deep end. The kid is not a bad kid but he has to admit he has a problem and get some help.
If you are thinking of buying a Ford stay away from *** Ford and Ray ***!
Btw…even though Lefvour said he was ripping up the paperwork somehow the paperwork ended up in the lender's hand.

To whom it may concern- McCarthy Ford has always gone the extra mile to help Rich Casio. We only control the price we sell vehicles for. Casio is confused that McCarthy Ford is a bank and we keep telling him were not the bank and therefore we don't control interest rates. When Casio was upset about the deal we told him to return the vehicle. He didn't want to because he said his wife "loves the car" Capital One needed his proof of income and pension to complete the deal. Mr Casio had the option to return the car, bring the documents to McCarthy Ford or deal directly with Capital One and provide them with the proof of income. Casio decided to deal directly with Capital One and they funded the loan. Rich Casio is a dishonest individual who has a disconnect with reality. We no longer will allow him in our place of business for service or sales. We have a amazing reputation with all our customers winning Ford's highest honors for customer service 17 straight years. I have no doubt that we did everything we could to help Rich Casio. Some people are impossible to help and want to hate... Good Luck Rich Casio.

The reason why I posted this about Ray Lefour and McCarthy Ford is to let people in the area know just how you will be treated when working with McCarty Ford. Ray Lefvour doesn't care about you and your family my experience is proof. Even after buying 3 cars from McCarty Ford and my sister in law has bought cars from this dealership. In the end, it is totally up to the buyer. I just wanted to share my experience with the people in the area. When you buy a car buy from someone who appreciates you NOT Ray Lafour and McCarty Ford you work hard for your money go somewhere where you will be appreciated. There are several dealers that have complaints against them always the owner is never involved in slinging mud like Ray Levour. So that may show you exactly what you are dealing with when you work with someone like Ray Levour. No owner will sling mud like this guy and what is all said about car dealers you know this is the guy is the worst of the worst. Don't spend your money with someone who will rip you off and then blame you for what he did. I wish you the reader all the best. Just spend your money in a better place then McCarthy Ford there are dealers in the area who will treat you better. That goes for you Sue Cascio you bought enough cars from this guy Ray Lefour said some terrible things about our family.

I first bought the car thinking it was great- since I bought it two months ago, it has been back there in the service department 6 or 7 times, without the issue being resolved. I have had to leave work early multiple times, and they had my car for 7 business days the last time it was there. I was promised that it was finally fixed, and a few days later, the awful noise started again. I feel helpless at this point, and I feel as if I bought a lemon and the car was under water at some point. I have reached out to managers, salesman, etc. with no luck or help from them about a solution. It is frustrating and disappointing that I am not taken seriously because I am a woman.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I am tired of coming in there and leaving my car with you guys, 6-7 times is enough for me to never want to come in again. Especially because every time I have brought it in and driven away thinking the issue is fixed, it has not been fixed. I have contacted two lawyers who will be helping me with all of this, and I will be doing business somewhere else and make sure others know my experience with you guys.

Sincerely,

Bridget

I bought a car at McCarthy Ford on 2/2/2018 which they sold me a 2014 Ford Fusion SE for $16000 . I.go online the next day and see that the car same car (verified byVIN number) is actually $12000. On the morning of 2/5/2018, the car is still posted online. I call the salesman who sold me the car and he says "it must be a computer glitch". I recheck the computer immediately after he hangs up and the car is no longer on the site. I go to the dealership and ask to speak to a manager. The manager takes me to his office and attempts to find the car online. As he searches he states that this isn't their real website, its a splash site, however this site shows all their cars at both locations. He states that he can't find the car so he can't see what I'm talking about so I show him a printout I had from when the price was in the site. He says he sees the price but then states that pricing is done by other people who come in and that they made a mistake. I point out to him that another car that is exactly the same make and model as mine has the same pricing and he states that must be a mistake too. He then says there's nothing he can do about it but talk to his internet people because they have this issue a lot whete people come in with pricing from the website and they have to sell them something at a different price. Hours later, there is no pricing change in thecar similar to mine and I feel like this place is getting over on their customers as I feel extremely taken advantage of.

McCarthy Ford Response • Feb 06, 2018

Dear Leslie,

I am very sorry for the error on our website pricing module. We deal with a third party who sends the pricing to our website. We created a new website 9 months ago and we have incurred pricing issues on a couple other occasions. With 500 vehicles on our website, sometimes we do not see a pricing discrepancy on a certain vehicle. Normally a customer will bring a print out in when they are going to purchase the vehicle and we then check to make sure the number matches our records. I am sorry that we didn't have the print out when you first came in. We would have explained to you at that time that the price online was incorrect. We sold you the vehicle for the correct price.

As for another vehicle that was similar online, every vehicle is different and has different options, mileage, past history etc. When you came to the dealership we apologized and explained the pricing error on our website. We offered you 2 free years of oil changes to apologize for the website error. Again sorry for the error and I hope to see you in the future for all your service and oil changes.

Thank you

Thomas ***
