Bought a garage from them, paid extra for strength to handle North Idaho snow and wind. The building totally collapsed after the first snow. They said too bad, my problem. They don't stand behind their product. Complete garbage!

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Mar 17, 2020

Customer did not want to get a permit and if you get a permit they are required to report the County's wind and snow rating to be put on the building. Once plans are ordered, the County would approved of that wind/snow load based on the paperwork. In his case the snow load he reported for the building to have was lower than what was required for his area. Had the building been certified to County Snow Load requirments and a permit received then his building should still be standing. Customer was made aware of possible heavier snow loads for his area however he decided against getting anything heavier. Customers order clearly stated a 40 lb snow load which he decided on and signed for, even though it had been stated to him that his area likely needs a much higher snow load. In the end if a customer does not obtain a permit, then the county or city codes aren't enforced and the customer is able to purchase any snow load he wishes. The installing company also offered to help with a discount on fixing or purchasing a new unit with the corrected snow load. Customer refused. We apologize for the problems that this customer faced however it is recommended when you know that your area has a high snow/wind load that you always check to see what those requirements are so that your unit has the needed certification.

Customer Response • Mar 17, 2020

Their response was total BS. I told them that I have snow and wind and I wanted the building to withstand those conditions. They knew exactly where the building was to go (they put it up). THEY told ME the numbers. Being as they were the designers I assumed they were giving me sufficient strengths. Never did they say anything about me needing higher ratings, (until after the building collapsed) those were the ratings they gave me. They sold the building to me as if it was able to withstand the conditions. They don't stand behind their product and then they try to lie their way out.

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Mar 19, 2020

We will be glad to provide the signed contract from Mr. stating that "All local requirements for install is the customer's responsibility". We are not able to enforce local laws or requirements and canto force our customers to permit or go by their local regulations. That is the customer sole responsibility. Mr. chose and signed for a 40 lb snow load and did not permit, therefore releasing our company from any liability for him not obtaining a permit or abiding by his local regulations. We always recommend that you check with your local permitting office for snow and wind requirements, if the customer chooses not to do so and chooses a different snow or wind load then that of the local requirements that is the customers responsibility. If proof can be shown that the building collapse under the 40 lb snow load that he purchased then he should be able to have the unit repaired through the installing company, ***.

Customer Response • Mar 19, 2020

More of the same BS. They built the building, They built it according to the specifications they told me would be sufficient. They never told me that if I didn't get a permit, they would just slop together some substandard garbage. Which is what I received. They designed and built the building, according to the specifications they told me would be sufficient, Now they say the design of the structure was my job. They don't stand behind their product, which is understandable in that their product is garbage.

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Mar 20, 2020

Again Sir, the building was not built by Mayberry Marketing Group, LLC. It clearly states on the contract the unit is built by *** and the unit was built to withstand 40 lb per sq ft of snow. This means that if your unit went down under snow it was more than 40 lbs, your local regulations most likely require 60 or 80 however you chose to go with the 40 lb. We are more than willing to work with *** to get you a new unit for a discount rate.

Customer Response • Mar 20, 2020

Your company is whom I ordered the building from, your salesperson is the one who gave me the specifications after I told her specifically that I wanted the building to withstand North Idaho wind & snow. Your company had *** perform the installation. Apparently "passing the buck" is your modus operandi. The conman sales person should never have sold, what she knew was an inferior product, especially after I specifically said that I needed the Building to withstand North Idaho weather. *** won't even answer email They figure it's your problem, You say it's their problem Obviously you both consider it my problem. You say you have been so magnanimous as to offer me a discount on a new building. Here is the email I received "As Flor mentioned in her response, the only thing that they can do at this point is to build the building per County specs and require you to pull a building permit and pay for the plans. She has said they could offer a discount, but we would need to figure the new price up to see what kind of discount you would be looking at on the new building." So I jump through all those hoops and you say "We'll give you $5 off" Who is supposed to dismantle and haul off the big pile of metal on the site? If anyone is looking at this, go to Yelp.com and look at the feedback on Mayberry Marketing and you can see pictures of the garbage they sold me.

I had ordered a metal carport through mayberry marketing group LLC about 2 to 3 weeks ago. A salesperson named Brittany *** placed the order. She sent the order to a contractor , unquie cuatom metal building name Dee Dee, the manager. The contractor stated they will be at my home to install Friday , december 20 2019 and the installer will call me 1 hour before arrival sometimes after lunch(I have voice recorder to prove that). They never showed. After making many calls to the contractor no one answered until late evening that Dee Dee called and told me there was a delay due to rain. In my county there was no rain. I argued I will call a lawyer and will charge them $100 per day for every delay. She offer me $100 off the cost that I accepted and stated the installer will be at your home first thing Saturday morning, december 21 2019. Well Saturday afternoon came along and no calls. I called the contractor and complained and asked the manager to call back. She refused to call back. So the installer called me. He said he was sorry and on his way and there was a delay that they did not have the trailer ready for him to deliver. He later texted me photo hes stuck in traffic with another delay.. I had called and both the installer and the contractor.numerous of time with anger amd they not answered nor called back. I told them I will hire a lawyer to sue them for breach of trust. I called my county police to contact them and the officer said noone answered his calls. I got email from the salesperson. I told her I was lied to and etc. She said I made threats to them which me telling them I be calling police and sue them is not a threat. I told her I want 50% off and installed right away no matter if it's raining or not. The salesperson emailed me offering me she can send me to another carport. No, I want 50% off and installed right away. If that can't happen than I want full refund including the tax plus 20% of the cost. They are not good business.

Mr. ordered a carport unit from our company on December 5th 2019. He was estimated at a 2-3 week time frame for install. We are the sales company not the installing or scheduling company therefore we can only sale and send in the order. Mr. was contacted by the scheduling/installing company on Monday December 16th and scheduled for an install on Saturday December 21st "After Lunch" Carport companies schedule their installs 3-5 days before and they also set their time frames to reflect Early morning, Mid Morning, After Lunch etc etc in order to keep form giving their customer an exact time and not being able to meet that time. These contractors often have delays from weather and traffic and other installs, this is another why the customers are given time frames not exact times. Mr. inquired to the scheduler as to when the crews load and head out at which point he was told Friday afternoons in order to install on Saturday and Sunday. The crew did arrive at approximately 1:30 pm to install at this point Mr. was livid saying that 1. they were suppose to the there on Friday and 2. that they did not come on time. Both the crew an the scheduler confirmed that he was given the date of Saturday the 21st "After Lunch" therefore 1:30 was a perfectly acceptable time frame. Mr. was insisted that they lied to him and that they were not on time. He cursed the crew, called the police, called the scheduler and cursed her as well, threaten to sure them. These crews are contractors which means in essence they work for themselves. Mr. acted irrationally and dangerous and therefore the crew left and were instructed by the owner of the installing company to not return. If Mr. had not acted as such and let these install his carport, he would have had his unit by the afternoon of December 21st as promised. However these crews are not required to sit and do anything at a residence when they are being threated and having the police called on them. Mr. is threaten to sue everyone and I am not sure what in the world he could bring up as a case. The fact is he woudl have had his unit within the 2-3 week time frame and in fact on the day scheduled had to not flew off the handle at the crew. Mr. was refunded his money immediately and I offered to switch him to any other company that he wanted to go through, he has refused and demands the unit at 50% off. I am not sure what to with this customer but he is not acting rationally and I have the right as well as my company to not deal with him anymore.

the text message from phone number *** is the installer who I never met and who never appeared to my home as the company stated he was at my home at 1:30 pm Saturday.(even my father stated it was a lie because no-one showed up and he's been home all day). as you can see the time he texted me sent to my phone.. he was supposed to be at my home "sometime" Saturday morning on December 21st per the manager, Dee Dee. The second photo copy of the text is to show I asked how far he is, where is he and informed him I called the police because he has not answered my calls. I left few messages but no cursing and no threats. if the installer still has his voicemail he can play them back to show I never cursed at him. Even the manager's voicemail shall prove I did not curse at them either. Me telling them I will call police is not a threat. the police officer did call and he said they not answered his call. I also video copied all of my security camera to show they never showed up my resident sorry could not download on USB (stated not enough space on my USB even though my USB is clean so I had to video record it from my phone). I was only able to send one voicemail from the lady at the contractor's office who stated they will arrive at my resident sometimes after lunch on December 20th(not the 21st). when they delayed the manager, Dee Dee, apologize for the delay because it was raining in their county and will be there Saturday morning on December 21st. how ever we did agree that she take $100 off the cost. As you can see attached photo copy from the installer where I asked where are you and called him numerous of time after 3 pm and never responded. for some reason I am having a hard time sending more recorded. I been fighting hours to send voicemail. I tried to send video recorder of the 2 other camera in the back yard but it was too large to send. if you like I can make it smaller and send. but the front yard cameras toward the road will show they did not show up(both driveway are my driveway). I watched all security camera from 1 am to 4 pm ad no-one showed up. I will send a copy of my time card from work Monday to show I never left work till after 4 pm. I can also ask if my employer if they can make video copy of me working December 21st from 7:30 am to sometimes after 4 pm and show I never left work to meet with the installer just to show I was never irrational and danger to the crew ( who I never met in person). I included time card to verified I never left work to meet the crew. Bottom line the company are very dishonest and disloyalty.

I am also $320 short that they did not refund me fully.

Thanks

thanks

billy

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Dec 31, 2019

The $320 is the down payment paid from the customer. In the 3rd page of his contract that he signed it clearly states that if the Customer Cancels he will not receive his down payment back. He signed it. I cannot change the companies policy. I am but merely a sales person. I am not the scheduler or the installing company. According to our people the cusotmer was irrational and they refuse to go back.

Honestly, this has been the easiest process I have gone through to date. From payment to installation, it’s been a breeze. 2 men came and installed the whole garage 30’x30’ in just 2 days... great guys as well.. really cool. 5 stars for sure, and I will suggest everyone I know to go with this company.

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Apr 26, 2019

Thanks ***! We enjoyed working with you guys!

I ordered a car port 6 months and 3 days ago. their add says 2-4 weeks they took a deposit. I have been lied to so many times I cant even remember. I have had to be put on anti depression meds so I can even cope with my day to day activity. I have missed 3 Days of work because of them telling me they were going to show up and they never do. No call no message no nothing. When I call them they say I will call you back and let me know something. yes that's right they never call. im so sick of their lies.I have asked for a discount because of them being so late but thy say no way

Ordered a carport on 9/12/2018 from ***. Spoke with ***, salesperson, who advised that the carport would be delivered and installed in 3 to 5 weeks. Work was subbed out to ***. First scheduled date for installation was the week of 11/5. Then scheduled for before Thanksgiving, then scheduled for before Christmas. Called Mr. on 12/13/18 and advised him of the problem. He called back to say he spoke with the contractor (***) and that the carport would be installed sometime between 12/26 and 12/28. Called *** on 12/21/18 was was informed they were closed during that time for the holidays, but that they would call us right after the 1st and schedule the work for the next week. Received a call from *** that the installation might take place the week of January 14, 2018. Called Mr. on 1/4/19 about the issue and he said that installations in Washington and Oregon can take 6 to 8 months and 4 months is not so bad.

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Jan 04, 2019

We apologize to the inconvenience of the customer however we are the dealer or sales company and not the installing company. We are only able to give a normal time frame from what we are told from the installing company. If they state that we 3-5 weeks out in an area and we relay that message to our customer then that is what we were told and what we believe. This length of time is abnormal for most areas in WA state however depending on where they are exactly, it is not unheard of. Again we cannot, nor can any Sales Company, control the length of time from purchase to install date. I wish we could. This should be a complaint regarding ***, the installing company and that lack of time frame for installs.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and I accept it. I do feel that they have some obligation to inform their customers of more accurate time frames, which the salesman was aware of.

Mayberry Metal Structures took a $700 down payment from us and never showed up to install our product. My husband took a day off work and drove over 2 hours to the job site, for NOTHING. No refund, no email, no date of installation. Contacting the Revdex.com and possibly a lawyer today.

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Apr 26, 2019

Mr.. This was unfortunately a problem within the scheduling of the unit. Mayberry Marketing was not aware of the scheduling problems and/or mistakes on this unit. A refund would have been given if we are notified that you wish to cancel the unit. We confirmed that the unit was installed shortly after and everything was completed. Thank you for your business and again we apologize for the inconvenience.

I've been dealing with Eirk at US Metal Garages for about 2 months now. I was having a hard time with my city's codes and other things, but Erik was awesome through all of it. He was very patient very knowledgeable and just a great guy to deal with. My garage hasn't been built yet so I hope the rest of the project goes as well as the experience I have had with US metal Garages this far. I'm leaving one star off due to the project is not finished.

Thank you *** for your business, we truly appreciate it!

I have recently dealt with wayne at Mayberry marketing regarding Carolina carports. I have only good things to say about wayne. he was most helpful in my decisions regarding size and construction of this building. he was always quick to get back to me and very professional. his knowledge of these buildings was very helpful. I would highly recommend his company to anyone looking for this type of building.

Mayberry Metal Structures Response • Apr 26, 2019

Hey ***, we really enjoyed getting your project ordered and completed!

I purchased a garage from them. After completion the Hanover County Building Inspector came out and failed the inspection of the garage because of missing and/or improperly placed anchors. I had spoken to Jeffrey and Zachary on numerous occasions and they keep delaying a day on when someone will come out and correct the issues with my garage. I sold my house and all of my belongings need to go into this garage as I await for my new house to be built. Its going on 2 weeks now and they still keep putting me off.
