Maxum Irrigation

Review: Company installed new water pump for irrigation system which developed water leak at pump connection only a day after installation. I contacted them to send the same technician/plumber to remedy situation, however repair still leaked. After contacting company yet again, owner came out to house and inspected connection and noted that it was not installed correctly and offered to remedy the situation with more extensive work. After receiving an invoice to pay for initial service call to fix leak (approx $[redacted]), I requested by phone and writing on the returned invoice that this fee be waived since the leak was related to the new installation. The person I spoke to on the telephone ([redacted]) even agreed to this waiver. However, I was called by owner who demanded payment in a hostile manner, blaming the leak on the design of my irrigation system. As a result of this interaction, I agreed to pay the bill, but cancelled any further work by this contractor.Desired Settlement: I feel that it is unjust that I pay for additional work to correct the contractor's immediately antecedent original and faulty work (who inspected and admitted so in offering additional more extensive repairs).
