I purchased several of these alarms. They are nearly as loud as they claim them to be; however, I chose to keep them and hand to some of my loved ones. Here is the clincher, I started to get charged $10.37 monthly on my credit card. It was very difficult to figure out what the charge was for or who it was coming from. It does not say "Original Defense" on my statement. So, when I finally figured it out I called them. They claim that there is a one month free warranty or something and then there is a monthly fee for it. The said that it was in my confirmation - when I looked at my confirmation, it is not there. So when I contacted them about that, now they say there was a box that I checked when I ordered. There is no way I checked a box for a monthly fee. This is a scam to get money out of people and HOPE they will not figure it out. I know many people do not pay attention to there statements. I do, I was charged 2 times, they will only refund me one of the $10.37. Do not order from this company!
