I purchased a living room set from Mattress World on January 29, 2020, for the amount of $900. I ordered this product/ furniture from a magazine in there store, as it was not on display in store to view.
When the furniture was delivered on February 8, 2020, I noticed that it was not what I anticipated. The cushion was very hard and the fabric and color was slightly off from what I saw. I immediately called the store manager *** and informed him of my concern. He indicated that he would reach out to the company he purchased it living room set to see if they would take it back. I followed up with IrVine on February 11,2020, to follow up. At which time he indicated that the warehouse would take the product back, but only with the original packaging. He further stated that he through away all the original packing and would call the regional manager for Coaster to see if they would be willing to to take it back. After, weeks going by without a resolution and no follow up call from ***, my son and I came into the store on February 23,2020. At which time, we spoke to *** and he indicated that he has not been able to reach the regional manager after leaving several messages for him. He assured us that he would try to make an additional attempt to reach back out to the regional manager and stated that he was hopeful to get it resolved. Further, he stated the restock fee that Coaster wanted to charge was 85 percent, but felt that was an unfair amount and didn't even feel that it was worth mentioning. He stated to us that he would call their regional manager in the upcoming week.
When I did not hear from ***, I came into the store on February 29, 2020, to see what resolution was made. At which time, he indicated that he has called the regional manager, but was not able to reach him. He stated that he would have to charge me 40 percent to take the living room set back. I brought to his attention the sale receipt that states their police is 20 percent restocking fee, not 40 percent.

Other (requires explanation) I would like for Mattress World to honor their policy on their sale receipt. The sales receipt clearly states 20 percent restocking fee, but I was told 40 percent because he has to pay workers to pick it up and he doesn't have room for it. This is unfair and not right!
After speaking to the store manager, *** on February 29, 2020. I came home and called him to find out why I had to wait for him to go through a third party in order for them to honor they're receipt? I further requested to speak to the owner and corporate office. At which time, *** became offended and stated that they were a family business and that there was no corporate office for me to speak with. He said he was the owner and then and further stated he was not going to honor the 40 percent restocking fee ( that I'm disputing) or take the product back (after agreeing to it) . I told him I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.
