Matheson Tri-Gas

Was a customer for 20+ years, only to find out that we were being price gouged for years. By the time I noticed, we were being charged almost six hundred dollars a tank of nitrous and over one hundred dollars for a tank of oxygen. When I inquired as to why (assuming it was due to COVID shortages and not realizing just how many years back the gouging went) I was directed to our "sales rep", who then told me it was a "software glitch". He said it would be fixed if I would just sign a new, better-priced quote going forward. When I said I wasn't signing anything, he said he could only fix it if the "higher-ups" thought I was staying. When I called back to speak with a supervisor, I was directed to the head of the sales department, who, when I suggested that this was grounds for a lawsuit, told me "Don't bother, others have tried and failed", and that as a dentist office, I should "be happy because we make plenty of money to make up for the cost". He said it was my fault because I wasn't watching the bills and should have questioned it further at the time. I wish I was joking.
Meanwhile, the statements come in every month, charging late fees and tank rental charges (because they conveniently never picked up the tanks for 9 months) that appear to be headed for collections.
I have an email folder logging the correspondence and a file folder over an inch think with all of the documentation. By my account, taking into consideration what the market price average is, we have overpaid by over $17,000. The last time I called, I was told this has been given to "the higher-ups" who just so happen to be "new". Buyer beware...
