Review: On Wednesday, November 11, I had a dinner party originally for 6 people. From the initial phone call with their hostess, Ingrid, I didn't really sense a five star level of service over the phone. I called in to see if I would be able to change the time and the amount of guests. I can't really say that Ingrid was the most pleasant, however, she changed the time and the party amount. When we arrived to the restaurant, I greeted the hostess, Liz, and notified her that we were here and were waiting for the rest of our party. As we waited in the lobby, 2 gentlemen from our party arrived and as we continued to wait for 1 more, the gentlemen approached the other hostess, Jackie, and asked her where the restroom was. This is when the service completely plummeted. Jackie was so blatantly rude to the 2 gentlemen, that we were all taken aback by her vile demeanor. Instead of Jackie showing them to the restroom, her words, verbatim, "If you're not dining here, you probably should leave." How presumptuous of her to not only assume that they were not dining there, but to also profile the two men. After learning that they were dining there, she pointed to the stairs and told them where the bathroom was. Meanwhile, she called her security over, whispered something in his ear and he proceeded upstairs. No one knows what exactly took place in the restroom, but shortly after, my two friends felt completely uncomfortable and said they were leaving. APPALLING! When we finally sat down, it took about a good 7 minutes before anyone came to our table with water and bread. It then, took another 10 minutes for our waiter, M[redacted](who was AMAZING by the way) to finally come to our table. Mastro's, from what I've heard, is supposed to be a five star restaurant; however, this was not reflected in the service that my guests and I received from the employees and the general manager, Brandt Lens, who accepted my complaint with an attitude of total indifference.Desired Settlement: After my experience here, not only will I never return, even if a free meal was offered, but I also walk away wholeheartedly believing that bad behavior, poor judgment and mediocrity is the culture of this restaurant. Although I hate to point the finger toward race, I have to question if that is the case seeing as though my entire dinner party was comprised of upstanding African Americans. Because I will never return under any circumstances, I would like a refund.
