Mary Light Tiles

Review: We hired Mary Light Tiles to remodel our bathroom. They were friendly and professional during the initial consultation visits. We were guaranteed a completion date. The actual completion date was three weeks later. The final product was extremely shoddy. Tiles were left off, appliances were installed incorrectly, appliances were severely damaged after installation due to improper handling, paint splatters were left all over, they created deep scratches on our hard wood floors, they created a wall that caved in within a week after installation, and they installed large items in the wrong places. In addition, they took no steps to minimize dust travel throughout the space. In order to fix everything, we were forced to hire an additional contractor who was appalled by the work he saw done. He thought we did a DIY job after he looked at it. On top of all of this, the employees stole beer and alcohol from our kitchen on three occasions. When confronted, [redacted] instructed an employee to replace the items with three Coronas. This company caused permanent damage to our home, damaged the items they installed, improperly installed multiple items, left the site unfinished, extended the one week timeline to one month, and stole from us when we were away.Desired Settlement: The additional work that was necessary cost $740.The damage to our $900 faucet would require a complete replacement. Since the damage is cosmetic (deep grooves from the pliers used), a 15% refund is appropriate. This would be $135. The large scuffs in the hardwood floors has been priced out at $230.We are not seeking settlement in terms of lost time, hardship, undue stress or the theft.Total Desire Settlement for Resolution = $1,005
