1st visit: No AC, customer stated t-stat (control system) not working and to check system. *** *** insisted control system was not the problem. 2nd visit: Owner of Best Mechanical went to check system, trying to establish a mutual relationship, found that the fan was not running,
but condenser would run on no-call or call. The problem is with the controller and with the air handler. Upon inspection found the air handler circuit board was burnt. Carrier had rep send part which was a retro fit to original OEM. Said retro fit was installed but condenser still ran. At air handler, wires were jumped to prove the board worked. The controller was flashing a code that Carrier did not recognize. Customer was also looking up codes on her computer. Carrier went to their engineer department and within a few days the engineer e-mailed that the unit is obsolete. At this point the *** were badgering, harassing and accusing owner of damaging equipment. Owner tried to explain that their unit is 24+ years old and had nothing to do with damaged controller. Carrier even verified this. Every time owner went to residence he was verbally abused by *** ***! On owner's last attempt to residence (he was hours late and did apologize due to business matters) He was immediately greeted with disparaging remarks. Once *** *** said owner was "unprofessional", owner left the residence and will no longer tolerate being treated in such a way
Best Mechanical does not feel they are responsible for the repair of the leak in the ceilingWe are very sorry the customer feels this way
We did not charge for the original air conditioning service as a courtesy to customerWe were charging for the repair as repairs are not included in the air conditioning service. The service is for general maintenance The technician did not see a leak during the
service, if he had he would of told the customer a price to do the repair

This is completely unacceptable that a company is aloud to conduct business in this manner. You were hired to perform a maintenance check-up which includes checking the linesets for water and ice damage. This was never completed although the technicians claimed it was and in your last response you said it was an oversite on the technicians part. Which means that the company is responsible for the damage to my home. CONSUMER BEWARE!!!!!

Best Mechanical washired to perform a tune-up and make sure our air condition was in properworking condition before we first turned it on. Due to there oversight and negligentthis did not happen and the first day running our air condition we had watercoming through the ceiling. My husband immediately went up to see what the problemwas and found a big hole in the drain pipe. How this was overlooked during theturn-up was complete negligent since this is the job they were hired to do. Iplaced a called to Best Mechanical who came back out that evening to see whathappened. The same person came back out and replaced the pipe that was broken duringthe turn-up with another broken pipe. Assuming the problem was fixed we turnedback on the air condition and went to bed only to wake in the morning to a bighole in the ceiling due to water damage from the broken pipe. My husband spokewith the owner that morning who offer to come back to fix the problem again foran additional fee of $150.00. We are now left with thousands of dollars indamage to our home and a long legal pursuit to recover our money. COSUMERSBEWARE! Best Mechanical also performed a turn-up on our parent’shouse on the same day as ours and this job was never completed as well. They didn’thave the filters in stock to replace so we were told as soon as they came inthey would call us to come back out. This never happened so we were left toreplace them ourselves so well not as bad as our house, but still anotherturn-up not complete.
