I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We did not make modifications, after the fact. Our only request was to receive a trailer with a tire rack, that would hold standard tires. And a trailer with a built in generator compartment, that would allow a generator to run. What we received was a trailer with a tire rack that would hold tires for a monster truck and a generator compartment that will not allow the generator to run in the enclosed space. We contacted Marv’s trailer numerous times to resolve these matters, and were told by [redacted], the salesman, that he would find an answer to the concerns that we had. To date we have not received any correspondence back from [redacted] or Marv’s Trailers. As for the spare tire issue, I have attached an email from [redacted] stating the spare tire for the trailer which was valued at $209 was “just as a thanks for ordering at Marv’s Trailers”. Now after the fact, they are going back on their word and demanding, that we give them free advertising on the side of the race car. Again, the spare tire had nothing to do any sponsorship agreement. The original conversation on the sponsorship agreement involved an older trailer and trade in value. The older trailer was not traded in and the sponsorship agreement was then voided. However, if Marv’s Trailers, keeps insisting that they wish to remain on the car and want proof of such, they first need to pay the sponsorship fee of $1,000. The same amount as any other business. We did not and have not slandered the name of Marv’s Trailers, we have only stated facts and shown documentation as such. We did take the bill of sale to the state of North Dakota DMV when we registered the trailer and resent that fact that Marv’s Trailer keeps accusing us of not providing the bill of sale to the state of North Dakota. The state of North Dakota would not register a title without the bill of sale. Today, we contacted the state of Wisconsin and filed for a refund of the Wisconsin sales tax, because Marv’s Trailers has refused to do such. [redacted] A [redacted], of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, told us that we are correct in requesting a refund of the sales tax that was collected by Marv’s Trailers in error. At this time, we are requesting the following: WISCONSIN SALES TAX REFUND $0.00 The State of Wisconsin will refund to us, because Marv’s is not cooperating. This purchase was made by [redacted] and the customers were notified that delivery dates are estimated and stated on every bill of sale "There is no guarantee on delivery dates for trailers ordered by any customer". The customer was also aware of the separate $500 delivery fee. [redacted]...
contacted us with the desire to order a trailer that he seen at a race. This trailer was custom made for a previous customer and [redacted] requested the same exact trailer. We went through the process of obtaining the vin# off of the trailer that he had seen and wanted to replicate. We sent the vin# to the manufacturer to start the build process. We sent the build sheet to [redacted] so that he could review and confirm the build. The only change [redacted] requested was the tire rack which was a standard tire rack. He confirmed and signed the build sheet and the drawing. The build took longer than anticipated due to complications at the manufacturers facility. We do apologize. Once the trailer was done we notified the delivery driver and he brought the trailer to [redacted] in Fargo, ND. Once [redacted] was able to see the trailer he then notified us of the problems or concerns with the trailer. We explained to [redacted] that the trailer was built to the same specs as the trailer he seen. We built what [redacted] had asked for. [redacted] never explained that he needed a vented generator box. [redacted] had every chance to review the build sheets and the drawings. The tire rack is standard and made to be adjustable to fit many racers needs. [redacted] paid the same taxes that every customer has to pay. We tried to work with [redacted] on the spare tire numerous times but could not come to a satisfactory conclusion. [redacted] recently notified us that his trailer was totaled due to hail damage and he gave us the impression that he would like to order another but given the previous interaction with the customer we were leery of ordering another trailer he may not be satisfied with.
