Review: Martinson College of Southern California has failed to do their part after our thesis class. we have a schedule given by our instructor for the whole 4 months including our "externship.' I requested days off at work to complete this program. unfortunately after two months of thesis class,Erik(student+counselor) failed to contact us about our externship. 5/22 our thesis class ended. 5/27 I emailed [redacted] that I want to do my clinicals already which he responded the same day "I will review your documents once I receive them from Edward. Send me your resume and I'll take a look at it." prior to this, I have submitted all the requirements for the externship. I was the very first on in my class to turn in everything including my immunization record. I asked my instructor if my immunization is good to go. and he said yes!. On Tuesday, June 2, 2014 I emailed him again "Hey [redacted], I just want to follow up on the clinicals as well as my resume" I got no response from him. June 11 2014, I emailed him again "any news?" he replied back "I won't be at the Glendale office till Saturday. [redacted] told me that your paperwork is at the office. I have yet to review it completely. " then stated that I need more requirements "I'm working to get you into White Memorial Medical Center. One of their requirements outside of the student packet is that you must be Fire Safety Certified. I need you to look in your area where the nearest place you can take the class and get certified. This is a requirement for all Los Angeles Medical Centers. You must get the BLUE Card issued by the Los Angeles Fire Department.Attached to this email are paperwork for WMMC. You will need to read through the manual and take a test, sign additional paperwork, and forward them back to me for review.Let me know when you complete this. Thanks." if I didnt keep on bothering this school I wouldnt have known that I needed more things. I was told by my instructor that I am good to go for clinicals. but they want more now. I want my money backDesired Settlement: I want to refund all of my tuition fee and if possible I want them to pay me for all of the hours I missed at work. I almost my job, my car. I was earning almost nothing because of this school.
