Customer *** *** has his Dodge Neon towed to our shop on 7/19/for a "no movement" Complaint. After evaluating, we discovered transmission cooler line fittings in the radiator were stripped out. The repair required replacing the radiator. After Refilling the
fluids, the car began to overheat at an idle, so we decided to try a new thermostat, and this seemed to fix the problem. When *** picked his car up, he admitted that he had been having problems with the car overheating, and had just replaced the thermostat. Since this was the first time he had mentioned this, I advised him that he might want to have his water pumped looked at, or replaced. We are a transmission shop that specialized in transmission repair, and we do not install water pumps, timing belts, brakes, etc.He paid for services, and left with his car. It over heated while driving it, and we decided to tow it back to our shop, free of charge, so we could inspect the repairs we had done.
