Contract called for cutting down of four trees, grinding down of stumps, hauling away, and cleanup. The job was started but has not been finished.I met [redacted] in the parking lot of [redacted] in Garner, NC. He stated that he could handle the job I was requesting so I entered into contract with Mr. [redacted] on September 21, 2015, to cut down and remove four trees from my primary residence, grind four stumps, haul away, and cleanup. The total amount agreed to was $1,700, with half paid when the work commenced, and the balance due upon completion. As of October 21, 2015, the trees have been cut down and all of the logs have been removed. However, there are still branches that need to be removed, four stumps that need to be grinded down, and cleanup left to do, all of which are included in the original contract. I contacted Mr. [redacted] about the remaining work and he now states that I should get someone else to complete the job, citing that he underbid in the original contract because he needed the work, but now does not have the financial resources to complete the job. I had given him a deadline of October 14, 2015 to complete the job. Nothing has been done and he is no longer taking my calls.Desired SettlementI would like Mr. [redacted] to honor the contract and complete the job. There are still branches that need to be removed, four stumps that need to be grinded down, and cleanup left to do, all of which are included in the original contract.
