I paid Ms. [redacted] $703.88 to cater my husband's 50th birthday party. Per contract she was to deliver pre selected items for 65 people. Ms [redacted] showed up at the venue 2 hours before the party without many of the pre selected choices and with a quantity of food that would barely feed 15 people let alone the 65 she was to prepare for. I had to rush out on a late Saturday evening and spend additional time and money in order to accomodate party guests. I reached out to Ms. [redacted] about her poor professionalism and service and she service and she responded by texting that she could not deal with the issue due to a family situation. I have yet to hear from her again. I paid Ms. [redacted] for a service and she did not deliver and did not even offer an apology. Beware of this vendor.Product_Or_Service: Catering ServicesDesired SettlementI would like for Ms.[redacted] to refund me the money that I had to spend in the additional food. Receipts were forwarded to her as well as $350.00 of the $703.88 that I paid her.Business Response I, [redacted] had advised Ms.[redacted] that I was returning from Maryland on the date of her event. We had death in the family, and I had told Ms.[redacted] of what was going on. I at no time had no idea that she was unhappy with the food that I had provided her with until October 24, 2014. I gave her what she had asked for minus the crackers for the dip. I have yet to receive my slow cooker, platters, serving utensils. The business is officially closed down, and I am willing to return to Ms.[redacted] $250.00 I have never had anyone not be happy with my food or service. I would be willing to repay Ms.[redacted] $250 for the inconvience that this event has cause her. Consumer Response If Ms. [redacted] had given me what was asked for then I would not have had to purchase additional food. Ms. [redacted] was contacted via text and email after the event. When she informed me that she could not deal with my complaint due to death in the family I backed off to give her time to be with her family, however I did not hear from her for over 3 monthes. I would like to put this situation behind me so I will accept the $250.00 repayment from Ms. [redacted].
