Review: I hired this company to install an HVAC heat and AC system for a customer in Warwick, NY in December 2013. The system was poorly installed and immediately began having issues. The placement of the unit and the return duct, as well as ducting used to run the lines was not correct or installed to code. The AC was also not connected at this time, and parts were left out.I had a [redacted] consultant and inspector come out 2/24 due to my inability to get the [redacted] to resolve the heat imbalance, and they tested a 10 degree difference between the two floors of the house. I emailed the company Marines Home Improvements on 2/22, 2/25, 3/15, 5/7, 5/17, 6/2, 6/4, 6/10, and 6/17 and received several false promises of showing up and making repairs and/or adjustments. I came out of pocket almost $1,000 to replace the grilles downstairs, install a new thermostat, and install boxes where there were none in the ceilings for the grilles to attach to. I also made a dozen phone calls and texts over this period, the latest of which I was told he was on jury duty indefinitely, after ordering parts he said came in wrong to connect the AC. So on top of my issues with the heat and ducting, now its 95 degrees out and the AC isn't connected, and no one else will touch the system. The last company I attempted to hire at my expense to get the AC operable pointed out half a dozen things incorrect and refused to get involved. [redacted] is now unresponsive yet again, and customer is extremely upset as her new AC system isn't connected, and they were paid in full over 3 months ago ! Now I have to worry about if their heat will function properly come winter as well !Desired Settlement: Work is not trusted to have this company fix the work. I would like them to hire a customer approved company to come and complete the install properly and connect the AC. If not, and they are unwilling to do this, I would like a refund of $3,900 so that I may hire another company to bring the system up to operating condition. Further action will be taken if not resolved one of these two ways, I would prefer the system was completely installed in the first place and up to par.
