Review: I entered into a contract with the contractor to place pavers my front yard and he said he would supply labor and materials and everything to get the job done. I paid him $1600 out of the $3800 and only one tenth of the job is done and then he disappeared. The trash company Marborg of Santa Barbara then sent me a bill for $1000 saying the contractor asked for the rolloff bins placed onto my yard and now they could not find the contractor. The trash company did not provide me any authorization documents or voice recording of the person placing the trash service request and is reluctant to chase after the person who made the request. All in all the trash company should follow procedure and need to bill the contractor during the call asking for trash bin service. If not done in the correct procedure anyone can collude with the trash company and get any homeowner to pay for trash services which they did not ask for. I am a victim myself because I had already paid a lot of money towards the contract amount to the contractor and only 1/10th of the job is done. Marborg sent me a certified letter asking me to pay within 10 days dated 12/17/2013 or they will send to outside collection agency. I am not willing to pay the trash company any money as it wasnt me who ordered the trash bins. Please let me know what recourse.
