Marble Slab

I ordered a cake for my sister’s birthday and the fudge sauce on top was sour (blue cheese according to the birthday girl before running to the bathroom). I had cramping for the rest of the night. I called on the weekend twice and the employee was surprised the manager hadn’t called back. I had to email head office days later before she called.

She asked me to drop off the cake for tasting before she would get back to me regarding a refund. Another weekend gone by with no contact but public health and safety got in touch. The inspector deduced the sauce likely contained mould (based on taste and symptoms).

Head office has been emailed again and I await their response though reviews on multiple platforms hint that I may be unlikely to receive a response.

What should have been a sweet celebration ended literally on a sour and rotten experience.
