Review: I purchased a brand new John Deere tractor, X540 on June 25, 2013 and cut the lawn twice with only 7.9 hours on the new tractor, and went to cut the grass on July 24, 2013 only to find that the transmission oil was completely empty. Called Maple Mountain and they picked up the NEW tractor on July 25, 2013 and I was told that there was an "O" ring in the transmission bad (they had received an email from John Deere informing them that some tractors might have this defect) and I was one of those lucky customers. Today is August 19, 2013 and still do not have my new tractor back. Stopped in the business on August 15, 2013 to see the progress of the repair only to be told that they had to order a new shaft (???). No one has ever contacted me since July 25, 2013 to let me know what was going on. I feel I should be given a NEW tractor due to the fact that this one I purchased has many problems and why should I pay $7500 for it and it has been in their garage more than mine.Desired Settlement: I feel I am entitled to a NEW tractor exactly like the lemon I purchased.

I spoke to [redacted] today. John Deere still has not shipped the part of the transmission that was causing the leak (shaft). I have agreed to give her a new X540, which shall be tested by mowing for at least 1 hour this week - probably on Thursday.
