reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The previous venting was not rotten. The installer had all the pieces to vent the heater the same way the previous one was vented but chose not to. It was explained to the installer ehy it was vented that way, his response was that we do not vent things like that making it sound like whoever had done it I the past did not know what they were doing. He instructed us to throw away the duct work especially with the newer heaters this would not be necessary. The heater failed 2 times after the installation. When we were able to speak with another technician and explain the reasoning for the previous ducting, he too did not know of it was necessary, After he inspected the heater and found that the previous ducting would be necessary due to the location of the heater and wind direction, he asked where the duct work was. We informed him what the previous installer had told us and he said that was bad advice on his part. He did have another top to put on the exhaust to see if that would work. It did not. I can understand a technician making a mistake, but not standing behind a professional decision brings in to question the integrity of not only the person but the company as well. I am sorry to see the company trying to place blame on a part that, number one, was not rotten and number 2 they had instructed us to throw away. We relied on the "experts" opinion. If this company refuses to stand behind their decision, I will pay someone else to do the venting as long as they still honor the warranty and any further problems with this heater.Regards,[redacted]

Majestic Heater installations do not include ventilation.  When the heater was installed, the vent piping was found to be rotted. It is up to the customer to repair and replace any defective parts of the ventilation.
