As a publisher that has used them before, I used to talk well of CreateSpaceHowever, I am finding that their customer service and design team are totally lackingI shall break this up into days as they have 24-hours of a window regarding submission DAY 1: They showed me a digital print proof for my upcoming bookUnfortunately, they had offset and left a white margin on page I double-checked my files to make sure if I had not inadvertently left any white spacesNo, the page was to marginI screenshot the digital proof and my InDesign screen to voice my concern DAY 2: They said they had an issue with page Upon calling Customer Service, they took another look at the file and said that there was no issue with the marginHowever, since they couldn't approve of itI had to wait another hoursBy this time my deadline had passed and the book is not yet availableI spoke to the supervisor and he said he would look into it DAY 3: I received the call from the supervisorHe had said that the design team told him that I had put the measurements wrong in my template and had switched the dimensions from "7.125" to "7.25" and "10.25" to "10.125"So none of the design team ever brought this up in subsequent proofs, and the very same information was found in their COMMUNITY postsBecause of this, my book is delayed again and I could very well lose customers What I disagree with is that when its a mistake on their end, they cannot expedite itI have to wait on their time and termsThere is no rush or way to fix that issueI have to take it and go with itNow I will have to submit this document again, and I sincerely hope they don't come up with some reason that isn't valid to hold my book up any further
Create Space has printed unacceptable copies of my books I was not refunded as promised for my purchase as promised in February of my publishing company, (One Temptation Press), contracted Create Space which is a division of Amazon to print copies of my titlesI uploaded the same files I'd sent to printers, all of whom printed prefect booksThw proof copies they sent were reasonable and could be placed in bookstoresIn January of an employee there tampered with my files when I asked for a smaller trim sizeCreate Space removed the back cover file as well as the spine of my books so that they could remove my ISBN number and add their own robbing me of credit for salesI did'nt discover it until June 24, when I orderd copies of my book titled, (A Point Guide to Peeing in New York)Tyhat's when I discovered they had enlarged my books as opposed to reducing the it to the correct size of, 4.75" X 7"They have printing it 6" X 9", for the last 1/years
copyright infringement claims for the second time in two months, suppressing book and preventing sales without notification or just cause I published a book with createspace in February 2018, title ID: XXXXXXX- 'Lil Chefs' Cookbook : Recipes for Your Toy OvenWhen I first published it, I noticed in the member dashboard in my createspace account, that the title was nearly immediately listed as 'suppressed'When I contacted them as to what that meant, they implied copyright infringement, which was falseThis action on their part kept my book from being available for saleI spent two days trying to prove to them that I was the authorI also submitted an official statement (at their request, which I immediately did), indicating that I was the sole author and creator of all the content in the bookIt was resolved, or so I thought Fast forward to today, May 3rd, I just happen by chance to discover that the print version of this title was not available on amazonWhen I logged
