Maid in Your Hometown operates an honest service for our community of more than 10,000 clients, and counting. We care about their homes and about making the process for them as easy and ethical as possible.

That care permeates throughout our culture here, and that includes to our contract cleaning technician.

Part of that respect includes paying our cleaning technicians if a client cancels within 24 hours of their cleaning (according to our terms and conditions). Each of our cleaning technicians carefully schedules their days so they are optimizing their time in the most efficient way possible. This includes turning down other work to make way in their schedule for client who have already made a booking.

This is why we state in our terms and conditions, on the order confirmation page, and in the email sent to clients that there is a cancellation fee if the order is cancelled fewer than 24 hours prior to the appointment. This is common business practice for companies that, due to their business model of spending money on gas by driving to people's houses, need to protect themselves from customers who cancel at the last minute. We'd like everyone who interacts with our company to be ethical, even if that does include enforcing these ethical standards.

Regarding receiving correspondence from multiple area codes. We operate throughout North America, so depending on whether you are getting a call from our headquarters, or from one of our satellite offices, it will have a different area code. Again, this is common business practice.
