I booked an appointment on 3/4/2020 for box braids for my 14 y/o daughter. The appointment was on 3/14/2020 at 10 a.m. I was required to pay a $25 deposit via Taressa's website and $75 was due at the time of service. Taressa claims that she is an Ohio Board-certified Cosmetologist with a braiding license, she is not. Taressa is providing hair services in her home that is filthy and unsanitary. She did not tell me that she was doing hair out of her home. If I would have known that I wouldn't have booked with her. In addition, she is fraudulently using other stylists' pictures claiming the work as her own. She does not have the skillset she claims to have and is scamming people and stealing their deposits; claiming they are nonrefundable. Knowing full well she cannot provide the service because she has not been professionally trained.
I'm sorry that your experience was not up to your standards. I would like to reiterate that I have never advertised myself as a licensed cosmetologist. My hair services were listed on Facebook makretplace and listed at a super discounted rate because of this. I am an event planner by trade not a cosmetologist. Deposits are non-refundable as mentioned on my site and at the time of booking. Thank you for your time and consideration.
